I have never made one of these blocks, but I just bought the QIAD SBS book so I would love to join this swap and get working on this block. Lori

DouceFleur, the book says you put the applique on to 10 1/2" background squares.

Would embroidered SBS be okay??? I am not a fan of doing applique. Now, I did not say I didn't like it, I just don't like to DO it!! LOL!

i think embroidered would be fine - actually i think it would be charming to have as many different types and styles of sunbonnet sues as we have partcipants - it would be such fun and what a snuggle quilt it would be
