Re: Wednesday January 14, 2026
Hi Everyone
Just a quick hello. I have been very busy sewing for our church group. We are working on some pillows for homeless persons, that our local food pantry is helping with some basic needs. We have already donated some quilts for them. Now they would like some pillows. We were given some stuffing and we have lots of white sheets that have been donated. I have sewn 10 pillow inserts and we are having a meeting tomorrow and we will finish stuffing the last 7. I did 3 yesterday on my own. We also have had some nice pillow cases donated to put on them.
I am headed to the kitchen to make chili for supper tonite. I like to make it ahead so it can simmer and flavors blend on low for a few hours.
Hope your day brings you lots of joy.

Chriss, Garry's lunch was smoked ham, sweet potatoes, a wheat roll, and bread pudding, all pureed of course.
We had a nice visit with the social worker.

Velda, sounds like you are sewing for people who really need it.
Lyn, thanks for the idea with the tennis balls. I have one hard rubber ball and use it sometimes.
Chriss, glad you are getting more face time with the little man. I bet he is so much fun. Using Pablano chilis sounds interesting. They have a good flavor.
Lyn, we got up to 86 today. That's too hot for this time of year.
Valerie, sometimes you need to do nothing to recharge your batteries.
Maryz, I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning. I thought about acupuncture, but that's discouraging it was only short lived.
I had my watercolor paint party today. It was fun just sitting around painting and chatting. I made Potato and ham soup with corn bread for lunch. Everyone loved it. We'll definitely do it again. Dinner will be whatever you can find. I'm pooped. I only slept about 4 hours last night.
Have a wonderful evening.

Well, Enoch didn't hold out any longer - he's on the way. Don't know how long labor will last., so it could be tonight or tomorrow morning. He's being given steroids for his lungs. Last ultrasound showed him over 6 pounds, but still 7 weeks early. Ultrasound was last week. Gracie was about this size and they thought about 5 weeks early. We still think there's miscount, but she was fine. So it will be long night. And the quilt is nowhere close to being finished, oh well!
