Good morning,

It's Early I'm having coffee and watching murder she wrote I just love her tom Selleck is in this one.
Yesterday I got off to a late start I washed two loads of clothes then I went upstairs then I came back down went to hobby lobby to get 505 spray then I came back had lunch went back up and made a quilt sandwich put it on the frame quilted good for a little bit then the upper thread kept breaking so I sat down and thought about it so I reposition the hopper foot and the needle and wala everything is right as rain so today I will quilt on the Minecraft quilt .
Also went on Amazon and bought a big can of 505 spray and new needles for my machine upstairs.
I'm excited to go upstairs and finally quilt.
When I went on Facebook today I was reading on my cutie quilters group someone purchased an endoscopy camera so she can see the back of the quilt so I googled it and there was a man demonstrating five different so I'm putting that I'm my Christmas list they are inexpensive  .

Mary the testing that I did I do every year in my Drs office ultra sound of the arteries ,a vat test for your balance and an ABI to check the blood flow in your arms and legs the only thing I have left is the stress test.
Well that's my day I hope you have a great one.
Prayers go out to all.
Lois

Good dark morning here n Myrtle bch. Been up since 4am and it seems to be mynew normal. YUK!!
I went yesterday to dollar tree for funny items for my cousins 80th birthday party tomorrow. A crown with tassles, bright pink and blue necklaces, pom-poms to cheer her on. Of course, a colorful wand with a star on top. So we'll laugh and take pictures and make happy memories.

I have a call to the surgeons nurse. It is 6 weeks since 1st op. and I still feel pain in my arm when I try to hold in straight up. When I do, I can actually feel the tightness all the way down and it has been this way since the start. Maybe she has some hints. I can do everything else with that arm but this.

Hope your day is a "sew day"
Diane

Today a friend has invited me to meet her for lunch, then I think we will have spagetti for supper or my grammas goulash, both can be done in the instapot very easily. Right now i will get coffee and work on that block...I do have to mop the kitchen floor but that is pretty quick...then sewing for a while before I need to leave...have a wonderful day,
Lois you are starting to remind me of Lyn always fixing something,,,,,glad you were able to get it fixed Since i started quilting it is amazing how much I know about sewing machines and trouble shooting them....and solving problems with them.
Diane hope you get answers to your arm issue and it gets better soon...How are the QOVs coming along? we are working on another one.... which reminds me I need to make some blocks..for the next quilt.

Morning
Today is babysitting day. Yesterday got a good dent in back room. Joe has alot more crap back there to move. He keeps saying we need to get rid of stuff, but it's his stuff in back bedroom, garage, barn and scattered over yard.
Maryq, we have a charcoal grill, a Blackstone, but Joe wants to go back to using wood fired

Plan on baking with my toddler friend, snickerdoodles and chocolate sourdough muffins.

Good morning!

Up, sort of. It's garbage day and the cans need to go to the street before pickup starts at 7 am. So Mr G is doing that.

Found some cute decorations at Costco yesterday. Not for the deck, but the walks in the front yard. They are lights, to line the path and look like peppermint candies. Mr G did grumble, bur I got them anyway. Deck is still in progress.

Aaron earned his Smoky the bear badge yesterday. Someone threw out a lit cigarette at major intersection. Aaron was there before fire arrived and set up lane closures to protect fire working. Major intersection here. Then Aaron looked up and saw coming towards him, a 20 foot wall of flames. No fire help yet, so he grabbed his trusty shovel and pick are and went to work, cutting a fire break. So fire finally got there and finished putting out the incident. Came up after to Aaron and told him he did a good job at cutting a fire break. Aaron just smiled and said, it wasn't his first rodeo.

So sewing is on my docket today.

Hugs,
Jana

Good morning,

I had my post all typed out, proof read, and was just going to hit submit, when my little finger brushed something and my post completely disappeared! I hate when I do that! And I tried all I knew to recover it. and my tech department is off to his exercise class at the "Y". Double rats! So I will try to recapture the basics:

LOIS - glad to know all is good with you.
FLO - maybe when Joe sees all this stuff, he will start purging?
VAL - how did Tony's dr appt go?
JUDI - lunch with a friend sounds nice. I'm hoping to do that next week with my friend, Carol
MQ - I'm not a fan of beige or gray either. I'm into color. But for carpets - all there is now is beige.
JANA -I'm loving how you organized your pattern. Did the yard people get squared away?
LYN - is your boiler all fixed now?
LORI - what color is the kitty? Long ago I jokingly suggested "Doorknob" as a name for a friend's golden puppy. That dog was Doorknob all his life! You may not want me helping to name anything of yours!
DIANE - Hope you can get good help from the nurse about your arm.

My yesterday was full. I walked a full mile! Proud of myself. I swept the kitchen floor, emptied the dishwasher, did 2 loads of laundry, pulled fabrics for my next KTVC block - Christmas Cactus, filled the birdfeeder, went to PT, then went to Home Depot with Bill. After lunch I sat down in my "nest" to read and fell fast asleep for almost 2 hours. It was a great day! Today I have another back shot. Ugh. So I'll be taking it easy this afternoon. L&L are bringing a charcouterie board for supper so no cooking! Yay!

Time's up! Got to go - it's walk time for me,

have a Fantastic Friday!

Good morning

Jana it amazes me that people still throw cigarettes out the window. We have enough fires without that behavior. Glad Aaron could help.

Flo snickerdoodles are my all time favorite cookie. When will they be ready?

Judi so wish I could sew something. Anything! I am having DT's. Can't get into the knitting but will try again today.

Diane so sorry to hear you are still having issues with that arm. Maybe it just takes a long time to heal. I would be calling the dr too.

Lois yearly check ups are important. I am no good at that except mamo. Breast cancer runs in my family.

Lori I think I watch pretty close what people charge but maybe I should look closer.

Chriss I am thinking I could be here through October. I will dig out the pattern and post it later.

So yesterday at the doctor we found out several things. Low and behold, th pain is not the cancer, he hs a hernia we never knew about! Thre is no bowel or anything in it do I am not sure when or how that will be addressed.

2nd the spot on the liver is a cyst not a metastatic lesion. She said it's not an issue.

3rd now here's the kicker. The dr who did the first colonoscopy did not remove the polyps and she does not know why. There is a concern that they could also be cancer. She said how she does the surgery will depend on whether they are cancers or not. So we are redoing the colonoscopy on Monday, removing and biopsing then and we will go from there. She is leaving town also for 5days and doesn't want to do the surgery till she comes back. If there are complications she doesn't want a dr who knows nothing about the case to deal with it. So we are looking at sometime after Oct 6 for the surgery.

In the meantime, he doesn't have the strength to cook, clean and that stuff. Plus the medicine makes him groggy so he can't drive. It's 80 miles roundtrip for groceries, pharmacy and stuff like that. My daughter lives in Fernley Nevada which is less than 6 hours but works in CA and goes to school in Reno. She really doesn't have the time to help. So here I am. Until I am not sure.

Off for more coffee. Have a great day everyone. Please all of you sew a stitch for me today. I have got to figure this out.

Good morning. We got a bit of rain last night. I love the smell of rain. And it's looking rather gloomy out there, perhaps more will be on the way.

No real plans for today. My sister and mother are in town and I'm sure will expect a visit. Not sure how long they are going to stay. I'm sure there is a reason they are here but I don't know what it is yet.

Lori, I did see that Lori Holt quilt kit. It would look good under your needle. I finally used an app on my phone to see how far it is to walk down and get the mail, 0.2 miles. I am in no way ready for the Smokey walk, next year I will crush it.

Lois, you were quite busy yesterday. Glad you got that quilting machine figured out and are putting it to work.

Diane, the party sounds fun, hope there is an easy solution for your arm

Judi, I was thinking of having spaghetti for dinner. I used to use a spice package from Lowerys. I saw one when I was grocery shopping and bought it. Haven't had it in years and will find out if it was what I remember. Enjoy your lunch out.

Flo, hope the room gets cleaned out before the company comes. I don'tthink I have ever had a snickerdoodle.

Jana, does the company that does your Christmas lighting also offer something you could use on your deck? I bet your grands love your decorations.

Maryz, sounds like a very productive day followed by a well deserved nap. Hope the shot today is quick and that it helps.

Valerie, since you will be there for a while longer would it be an option to go to Wmart and get a $100 machine? Our local library has machines that you can check out. I think people throw cigarettes out the window because cars don't come with ash trays anymore. Other culprits are those who tow trailers and drag the chain. Glad you have some Tony answers.

No big plans for today, just the way I like it. Dinner will be spaghetti. Hope you girls have a groovy day

Good Morning Girls

Happy Friday girls.... another week went by way too fast!!! Up, showered and dressed and the first load of laundry in---but then again it is after 10am and I SHOULD be up by now!

Lois.... Good on you for fixing all the things on your machine!! Don't you just to pat yourself on the back for being so smart! Every time I fix something all by myself, I'm always so proud-but then I'm proud of myself when I get the garbage to curb on time!

Diane... Sorry to hear you are still having pain--has it really been six weeks already!! Hope the nurse has some good ideas for you.

Judi... Gramma's Goulash? You know, in all the years that I was married and had to feed kids, I think I've made goulash ONCE!!! It was a staple growing up---a way to feed 7 kids on one pound of hamburger. Besides peas, it was my least favorite meal. My sibs all love it, but man... I never wanted to see it again. I don't know that I've even ever bought elbow macaroni!!! My mom was a miracle worker with one pound of burger!! I've taken my Featherweight almost completely apart, and it fun to get in there and check out what's wrong (thank you Youtube!) but I sure don't want to dig too far inside my computerized machines!!

Flo... Is there a special grill you have to get to use wood? Who does most of the grill cooking? You or Joe? My Shawn uses his blackstone all the time--for just about everything. Lots of cool accessories for it---even a thing to make pancakes!

Jana.... Your candy canes sound super cute!! When you get everything decorated for Christmas... we'd sure love to see pictures of your house all decked out!!

Maryz.... I like a bit of color too, but over the years have learned #1 royal blue carpet shows EVERYTHING (our first house) #2 dark brown counter tops show every drop of water. #3 I like to change things up often--easier change pillows or decor than painting! Man you did get a lot done yesterday. The nap being the most important thing?

Valerie.... Has to be so hard to be kind of "up in air" not knowing what a plan is. I thought it was SOP to remove polyps in the colon when they were in there for a colonoscopy? Any thoughts about going home for a couple days, gathering up some sewing stuff and coming back?

Chriss... How did the measure go for your countertops? I won't hear until next week but I'm crossing my fingers that the bid will come in "affordable"! Even when I smoked..... I thought throwing a butt out the window was disgusting--but on the other hand the home made ash tray I had in my car was pretty disgusting too. Another reason I quit! (5 years in December)

Well, since it's almost 11 I suppose I should get to work. A couple dishes to clean up then I'll figure out what project to work on today. I made good progress on the Christmas kit quilt, but ran short of fabric... The sashing pieces are 2.5" squares and there's not quite enough--or all the ones left are the same color!! Luckily I found the matching mini-charm pack on Etsy and it will be here next week. In the meantime I think I'll start cutting out fleece mittens and maybe throw a few of those together!

Wishing you all a fabulous Friday!

Maryq it is SOP to remove polyps. She went and read the documents and nothing was said as to why they weren't removed. 🤔 So we start over.
