Good morning ladies,

Joining you all in prayer for this nation
I do not know why people feel the need to behave in this way. It is so sad that so many are affected by violence.

There is still much beauty also though. We just drove a 100 miles stretch of I70 in Utah. The most amazing rock formations i have ever seen. Jana you live in absolute beauty. Definitely made by God.

I do have a question though. I thought that those groups run by that guy who was arrested for child crimes had all been broken up? We stopped for gas and low and behold 4 or 5 girls got out of a pickup dressed in garb they where. Hard to guess their ages but still young.

We will stop in St George to go to a quilt shop. I really need one! We are about 4 ish hours out of Indian Springs.

Yes .Mary I was prepared for this but was hoping it wouldn't happen. Long story but nothing is going according to plan and he is likely out of time.

I will stay in touch as I can. Not exactly sure what I am walking into.

God bless us all

Good morning. It's going to be another beautiful day today. I've not used the a/c for a few days and am hoping today is no different.

My goal for the day, clean up the kitchen. I don't have many dishes but had oatmeal for breakfast so now have a pot to wash. Not sure what I will do with the other 23 hours and 50 minutes of my day but walking and napping will be included. I also have a few phone calls to make.

I woke up a few pounds lighter this morning. Guess all that peeing is paying off. So glad to see it go.

Maryz, it's like we are twins. My back has been leaning on a heating pad these last couple of days. And I also nap. And, I also got a Tinab pocket prayer square. Two things I never used to do, nap during the day and wake up in the middle of the night to pee. I now do both.

I have rotisserie chicken and bacon thawing. Not sure if they will be combined for dinner or what. Have you noticed that any recipes that pop up on your computer screen seem to be made of noodles, cheese and potatoes? I always think of it all going thud in my stomach.

I need a shower and to get my butt moving, you all have a fun day.

Valerie -

There are many different factions of the polygamy groups down in southern Utah Arizona area. Yes, the notorious one, did have its leader tried and jailed. But many others, started their own group to continue to practice polygamy. Those groups are NOT affiliated or aligned in anyway shape or form with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my church. You will see lots of families dressed alike , plain and long hair braided. Those are the first things you notice.. Around the corner from me are three polygamous families and several by Sarah's house. Just part of life here in Utah. Laws have been passed to protect the young children in these groups.

Jana I watched that documentary and yes, they are not part of the real LDS church. I just didn't realize any part still existed. Glad there are laws in place to protect the girls.

Lyn, I've followed Charlie Kirk for the last few years. He was an amazing man. So intelligent. I will miss seeing his debates. A great loss indeed. Glad Minnie is going to be okay.

Valerie, so sorry you had to cut you trip short. Hope you can provide some support and comfort for your BIL.

Jana, hurry and get the decorations before the old Mr. G returns. lol

Chriss, I'm sure you'll fill up the rest of your day with something. Naps are always a good thing.

Diane, agree. The years don't lessen the pain.

Maryq, Some days are just difficult. I fear for the future generation as well.

Lois, bummer the Grace company is not getting you the part you need. That's very frustrating.

Judi, How cool to see the freighter out your front window. When my Nana live in the Bay area, we could see ships going through the area a lot. They are really pretty when they light up at night.

Maryz, sounds like you are on the right track to getting some help with your medical problems. I need to get back to the KTVC too. It's a fun and easy quilt.

It's cloudy and cool here today. The walk with the boys was nice. It's a somber day here. Funny that after we were attacked on 9-11-2001 the nation came together, and now we are becoming more divided. There is some awful posts on social media of people rejoicing in the death of Charlie Kirk. How did we get to this point. Just because we disagree, doesn't mean we have to hate or kill. I sure hope we can turn this around.

Prayers for the families that lost love ones yesterday and 24 years ago. May they find peace in the good memories of their loved ones.
