Surgery is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday. He has been cleared by the cardiologist. Still waiting on the PET scan.

Lori nothing like a clean set of sheets!

Maryq let me know when you are expecting the Pope, there are a few things I need to discuss with him.

Hope everyone's day is going well and ends on a good note. Just couldn't get into sewing today so I came home early.

Good evening to all my quilting friends,
Busy day today. After church we needed to replace mailbox because door hinge got torqued and broke. Four and a half hours later new post and mailbox already to go. DS helped us and of course he is stronger and moved faster so that got accomplished. Yeah!
He placed my machine on table so it and I will get reacquainted. My DH bought me a new machine with big throat because he knew I wanted to quilt my tops. It’s a Babylock and sadly life’s many twists and curves kept me away from learning it besides my old machine I could run while half asleep. Please don’t think I was ungrateful, I just never had no deadlines and just time to learn. I can always take another learners course from the store I purchased it at even though it’s been awhile. Now I have decided to learn the machine of my dreams, not be afraid of it, not afraid of failing which I can often do on old machine, and make some tops. If I finish the one I have got started and in my head I will figure out how to post it to share with you all.
That’s my day and I am a bit tired now.
Will continue prayers for all in need.
Take care,
Blessings,
TinaB

Judi, I'm looking forward to cooler weather too. We've been really hot for a couple of weeks and will continue though this week. Then maybe we'll get a break. I'm looking forward to cooler nights. Your get away sounds perfect. It's nice to unplug from all the electornics.

Lois, we've been lucky and it's only been hot for a few weeks here. I'm sure our electric bill will be high this month.

Maryz, a day of nothing sounds wonderful. I think you gave me a push to go get furniture too. We really need a new couch and I just hate shopping for things like that. I'll see if Bill will go this week sometime.
We watch baseball almost everyday here. We're big Cub fans. Bill is from Illinois.

Jana, I'm a machine applique person also. Sometimes I think I'll do it by hand, but then I get one finished and I'm done.

Tina, it's so nice to see you post. I have truly missed you. Sounds like you are having a great time with the family. Cute about Elijah and dancing.

Valerie, I love clean sheet day too. Did you get your quilt top done? I guess you just have too much on your mind to sew. Glad his surgery is soon.

Maryq, that's quite a drive to make a return. Wonder why they move it. Whole foods is a great store, but a bit over priced.

Joan, Lois is the one doing the flamingos. It is a really cute quilt though. I've never had Stella Rose. That's not as far as Temecula. I'll have to get a group together and check them out.

Tinab, I quilt most of my quilt on my Janome MC6700. It has a pretty big throat. Hope your machine is user friendly and your sewing on it soon. Nice of DS to help out with the mailbox.

We did our traditional Orange International Street Fair this morning. We've been going for 42 years. Tacos and beer for breakfast. We walked around and hung out with the kids. It was a great. Then we came home and watched the Cubs lose. I needed a nap after that. I got the last border cut for my quilt. I might wait until tomorrow to put it on. Being in the sun this morning/afternoon wiped me out.

Sleep well

Chriss, hope you are doing well. Don't stress about things now. They can all be taken care of when you are feeling better. Like the others said, the weight is probably swelling from surgery. Your body has been though a major incident and needs to recover. Hugs
