Poof, just like that my plans have changed. We will shop on Monday instead of today.

That gives me time to research counter tops and stoves. I'm kind of glad to wait until Monday. I've not been home during the day for two day's and my dog isn't overjoyed.

I bought Moose a new feeding bowl station. It's called a Neater Feeder. I really like it but Moose isn't too sure. He hasn't drank from the water bowl yet and only had a couple of bites of food. When he is thirsty or hungry enough he will use it. It's supposed to keep all the mess contained and off of the floor.

Maryz, there is a quartz quarry in Raymond, CA. It's about an hour or so from me. I've never been there but I would like to check it out someday.

Jana, there are just so many choices for anything you would ever want to buy. Thanks for the info, I will do some research. I want very low maintenance and I don't want a bunch of pieces that are glued onto wood like my current counters.

Lyn, I will stay away from tile and grout. I do like the look of Corian but haven't researched it yet. Whatever I get it won't be speckled in gold or a dark color. I like grey to off white, and I do like the look of marble, I don't want a solid color. Boy, I'm pretty demanding. HA HA. Maybe the builders will consider Maryz's property as the animal preserve, rescind their offer and she can open a zoo and be our rich friend.

Judi, not sure if this is a good idea but when making your stitch book write the stitch number, width and whatever else next to the stitch. I sort of do the same thing but onlyu use scraps of fabric, mine aren't stitch book worthy.

I've decided that since I am not shopping today I will thaw some hamburger and have that for dinner.

Hi ho hi ho it's off to ???? I go.

I found this article that y'all might be interested in reading about the pattern companies.

Chriss, sounds like you had fun with little Elliott. Glad you were able to make your appointment. Did you find anything fun at the rummage sale?

Jana, I have a robe pattern that I've had 40 years. I've used it many times and will use it again. I do have a few top patterns as well. If you find one you like hang on to it. I stopped buying zippers at Joann's because they were way over priced. Most quilt shops have them now and they're better quality.

Lois, I read that article too. I also saw on about Michaels taking over there fabric line.

Chriss, I too need new counter tops. I'll get around to it some day. I don't like shopping for appliances or counter tops.

Maryz, that's a small bit of wool. Mines down to on card board file box and it's packed. About half is large pieces for backgrounds. I have the books from Buttermilk Basin as well as many other wool books. I love looking though them and getting ideas. I'll be at my friends Monday thru Thursday. Glad you'll get some time with Lara and Lee. Depending on the location, RV parks can be quite expensive.

Judi, I used to do that with my stitches, but haven't for years.

Lyn, thanks for the update on Sharona. Hope you are on the road again with smooth sailing. I have plenty of stash to trade if need be.

It's a cool morning again. It's still cloudy here and it's almost 11. I made buttermilk pancakes for breakfast and they were yummy. Yesterday I cleaned out my sewing closet. It was quite a mess. I blame Maryz. She started it first. I found that I have enough project to keep me busy for the next 3 years. Instead of eating when I'm stressed, I buy stuff. Mostly quilt kits and such. I'll be taking a simple panel quilt project with me to AZ and a quilt to quilt on her longarm. And of course some hand work. I'm heading out Monday morning, so I need to figure out what I need to take.

Have a lovely day.

Chris I have quartz counter tops they are amazing and easy miantainance,,,Price wasnt too bad,,check them out might be for you...they come in all kinds of colors and patterns...I would stay away from black as my sister put black in and she hates it says it show every fingerprint and drip/
Lyn Copy away, Years ago when I got my babylock the class I took suggested a stitch book and I used it a lot...Now that babylock has been deligated to permanent embroidery machine,,,a stitch book for the new one is necessary..It saves time when stitching especially when doing machine applique..I like to do fancy stitches on small quilts and you will be able to find them and know what they looks like stiched out.
Lori have fun in Arizona...safe travels...I need a vacation...
The cranberry bread turned out excellent,,the corn starch made no difference after all...Then I found out that if you want a light and fluffy cake use cake flour...If you dont have cake flour you can make your own by taking Ap flour and adding ......wait for it....corn starch....Take a cup of all purpose flour and remove 2 Tablespoons of flour and replace it with corn starch WA LA cake flour..xxxooo
