Good afternoon from a sunny but cooler, yep only in the high 60s, but this is November, right???? I am certainly not complaining...We are to get some badly needed rain tomorrow.....Been trying to catch up with everyone and you know, that's a tough job....You gals are way too busy....I have really gotten good at being lazy and I might just try to perfect it today....I've started cross stitching Christmas gifts and that has been taking up my time, lol....Our friend, Dyan, who used to live in the park, is driving up from SC today and will be here for at least a week..So, that usually means, lots of eating and card playing....My sister thinks she and I should hide in the car and go back to SC with her....
MaryZ, So happy to hear about the "tree reunion"...What an honor! AND, did you hear, the eagle nest in N. Ft. Myers had their 1st egg yesterday....Momma is a little early this year but so many of us are ready to wait and watch for more eggs and then the eaglets...Nothing on our Hays nest yet...But, did you know, there is another nest down the river from Hays? Sorry to hear about your furnace and hoping Bill will have an easy fix...
Judi, sounded more and more like yourself and that's a good thing! BUT, you still have to take it easy, don't over do! Hoping you get good news from your doctor on Monday....Sending prayers for your DDIL.....
Lyn, It takes a lot of practice to learn how to do nothing....And at my age, I think I've finally learned.....Oh my, aren't you glad you got out of Estes at the right time? I love to see pictures of big fireplaces all aglow with those big windows showing all that snow outside...And as pretty as they are, it's still not for me, lol.....I like your way of thinking on that "to do list".....
Chriss, I'm a fan person, like them better than the AC....When I 1st moved in, there was only 1 in the whole house so I went shopping...I had them added to every room....You will post a picture of the quilt for Elliot won't you? And for sure, your Dad is a blessing....And you know, you're also helping him by taking care of his wife......Mind if I pop in for a burger? I like mine with grilled onions......
Tina, 42 is way too cold, Yikes......Nothing worse than getting up in the morning and finding a mess in the sink....Just wish I could teach the fur baby to clean up her dish after her late night snack.....
Jana, Will be anxious to hear about your tree seeing and meeting up with Gene...Hope you have pictures....Just yesterday, my computer decided to play bad and after me giving it a good talking to, I just pulled the plug, walked away and closed the door.....After a couple of hours, I guess it got the message and then we were friends again....Not sure what happened but today, it's fine...Weird!
Well, gonna have another cup of tea and maybe do some cross stitching.....As for dinner, I haven't a clue but there's always cereal......
You all have a great rest of the day...................

Maryz, no we are not near the fires. They are north of us and we aren't getting the smoke down here. Sounds like the Christmas tree adventure is going well. So glad you got to see it and Gene.
Chriss, Costco wasn't bad. We got there at a few minute before 10 when they opened. The parking lot was wide open. When we left at 1020 the parking lot was full, and people were searching and waiting for spaces. Crazy. Did you try reversing the fan back the other way. I have a really old fan, and when I reverse it wouldn't work. So I reversed it back to the original and it's been working for 6 years. It's at least 30 years old. They used to make things so much better than they do today.
Lyn, I too like lots of light, but not overhead light. I like a lamp next to where I sit.
Tina, that's crazy late to be cleaning the kitchen. I cook, so Bill cleans. That's how it is in our house.
If you cook, you don't have to clean up.
Jana, don't you love when they do those stupid upgrades. It always messes things up. Glad you got it figure out.
I've been cleaning today. Not done yet, but I needed a break. I still have some dusting to do. After all the wind the other day every thing was gritty. And we even kept the house closed up. I finished up the binding on my Pac-Man Halloween quilt, then put it away until next year. I really need to sew something. Maybe tomorrow I'll finally have some free time. We'll see.
Dinner will be grilled chicken, with potatoes and a veggie.
Have a lovely evening.

Re: Saturday Nov 9 2024
Good evening ladies, better late than never.
Busy last couple of days. Worked on Thursday and then baby shower. Mom had a good time. She got lots of nice stuff. Since it was at the shop and we are all knitters or quilters many things were home made. I did the target run since that is where she was registered. I left about an hour early, just too tired to stay till 8 pm.
Friday was feeling really tired so went to bed 5:30, same last night, after working the shop hop all day, came home, ate and went to bed 5:15 for a couple hours. Now up, finished up a chart I had to do. Won't stay up long as I have to work the hop tomorrow and Monday.
Maryz how fun to stop and see the tree and your brother. Wish it had been coming closer to me. Glad you got to talk to Sharona. Hope she pulls out of this soon. DBIL in Virginia had to have ablation twice. DH got our back heater working.
Judi I was just thinking 20 min ago, DH has got to go through his pile of mail. He piles it where ever he is sitting and now there are 3 piles. I tell him to deal with it when he opens it but no such luck.
Flo glad to hear from you and know that you are healthy. I hear you about the internet stuff. Once it's there it's there. I am sure we all have our closets and sometimes it is best to keep them closed. Good to hear you are sewing and healthy.
Jana, I was thinking about making cookies the other day. Couldn't remember what I need for the chocolate chip cookies from Nestle. Went to the freezer to read the directions, WTH Oatmeal cook recipie on the back! I had to go shopping to find a bag of chips that had the recipie on the back.
Tina we are dropping into the 40's at night now but 60's, occasional 70's still in the day time. I don't like the kitchen dirty at night either (and usually it isn't) but I don't let it keep me awake. Everything else all ready does!
Chriss I vote for the 4 lights. That's what I have an it's nice to only have the two lights on when I don't need all 4.
Lois aren't videos wonderful!
Lyn yeah on getting the electric signed off. Inspectors can be troublsome.
Irish I am trying to perfect lazyness too. Last weeks spent at least 3 days watching TV. AS it gets closer to the end of the month I seem to be getting tireder easier.
Lori I am falling behind in my sewing but will try to get caught up this week. I have to at least get a quilt cut for the 16th class.
Well, I am going to try and sleep some more. See you all in the morning.
