Happy Memorial Day. And a big thank you to all those who have lost their lives fighting for this country.

Had a good time at the retreat, won Bingo 3 times! Spent some money, ate too much, caught up with some old friends. Oh and sewed a bit. Next one in August already sold out before the store closed yesterday. Yes, I got a ticket!

Today is CPR Class and I will see one patient since be will already be in Vacaville. Got up way later than I should have. So I best skedaddle before I am late.

June lotto is posted. It is a fun one.

Have a great day

Valerie

Good morning. What a gorgeous day today is going to be. Hot but gorgeous, last night the news said we will start seeing the 90's but the computer says 80's. Either way I'm overjoyed to get to have plenty to do inside with the A/C on if necessary.

Lots of little jobs on my to-do list today. We will see how many get checked off.

Maryz, yay for a clean house. I will have one someday, just not until I get my rooms in order. Sleeping on the couch isn't bad, only a few more days. Moose gets up on the couch with me but eventually gets off and lays on the floor. I wouldn't mind a new couch since mine is pretty worn, but my other living room furniture is good enough. Glad Scottie doesn't have to break in a new couch at your house.

Becca, a good pair of shoes is so important. I also like good soles; nothing will keep you from slipping like good tread. Glad your family outing was enjoyable.

Flo, I hope your new cabinets work out perfectly for you.

Jana, Prayers have been said for your family regarding your SIL's passing. Yay for Michael getting his diabetes in check. I have never had brisket, but love a good mac salad. I may pop on over.

Judi, what a great way to celebrate Nolan and his accomplishments. Glad his smile never left his face. Sorry your knee is giving you troubles. I googled your shoes, cute. I bought some rubberish garden clogs at Costco yesterday, they were $5. I have a pair already but these will be my backup pair. We also have bats to eat the insects. I don't mind the good snakes, the rattlers need to die. It's the frogs I could pass on. They dig holes and want to live under my cement patio. Moose likes to eat them. Frogs are adorable, just wish they didn't want to live in the ground and that they ate squirrels.

Tina, Moose just doesn't do his share of the lifting around here. He is eager to help clean the dishes, and to lead me anywhere he thinks I am going but lifting ain't his thing. Dang dog, he's so lucky I like him. It will be nice to have that a/c in your sewing room. I forget, what is next medically for you.? I know you are to take it easy, hoping you are truly following that rule. I'm curious about SS too.

Maryq, dad's really are the very best. What is a vegetable cupboard? I bet it's functionable as well as cherished. I'm glad you are having fun with that machine. Funny about machine oil. You only need a drop or two and they sell it in big lifetime supply bottles. Since you, Tina and Judi are busy in the laundry room I will do my wash tomorrow. In Cali, the fast food workers start at $20 per hour. So the cost of fast food has gone up and people are complaining. But Becca is right, it's a totally new breed of workers out there.

Lyn, sounds like a fun time with Maddox. A water park sounds refreshing. And Mexican food sounds wonderful. I've seen those semi's hauling trailers and have wondered if a semi was really needed when a good sized pick up truck wouldn't be more practical. I also don't eat out much. Just too costly and seems that wherever you go low carb is too messy to eat. but I have heard that those lettuce wrap sandwiches and Jimmy Johns are good. nearest one to me is about 1 1/2 hours away. Nearest place to eat at to me is an easy 30 miles away. Guess that is another reason I don't eat out much.

Sharona, so? how long will it take you to quilt that quilt? I bet I will hear the sigh of relief from here when you slay that dragon. Funny isn't it, we can have thread delivered to our doorstep. Soon I will have a dish drying rack sent to my doorstep. It sure makes it easy to not to have to go to the stores and interact with other people. I guess that's why there is not much merchandise in the stores when I actually do go out to shop.

Valerie, yay you, one retreat done and one to look forward to. congratulations on your trifecta winnings. woo hoo you.

Sure does seem like I've been sitting here way too long this morning. Hoping you all have a fantastic day.

Maryz, thanks, the hexie quilt is 70 x 66.

Becca, glad the major storm missed you.

Chriss, hope the weather stays nice enough to have the windows and doors open. We bought a really long couch years ago so I would be able to sit on the couch when the dogs were up there.

Jana, so sorry for your loss.

Judi, sounds like Nolan is a great kid. Sounds like he knows what he wants.

Tina, sounds like you had a good time with the kidds.

Sharona, I love Chicago. It's one of my favorite places to visit. When we had the house in Il, we would go at least once a year. We're big Cub fans. We have MLB and watch them play every day.

Val, glad your retreat was a success. I usually don't get a lot of sewing done at a retreat. It's all about hanging out with friends.

Not sure what's for dinner yet, but we won't starve. Probably chicken on the grill and I might make potato salad today.

Have a lovely day.

I'm back.....
Chriss, I think you should have a talk with Mr Moose πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
The Dr's office called me about 5 days after I got the approval letters in the mail and they called me again and we're just waiting for the hospital where the tests will be done to have an opening...... funny if I was admitted they'd do it that day or the next but for appointments they "fit you in" type deal.
Holly helped Frankie make up the bed after I got everything washed, that's such a huge huge help and I really appreciate it. Easton is here and he said he'll dust for me, I can do the tops of things but bending over really raises my BP and makes me hurt.
Easton requested chili dogs for lunch and the hot dogs were cooked on the grill. He wants steaks for supper so we went and picked up 3 steaks for $12 I think they were, a package of 3 so not too bad $4 each. I also made coleslaw for lunch and we'll have salad too at supper. Oh I bought ice cream too because Easton wanted it πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ I must love this kid 😍πŸ₯°πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ€©πŸ˜πŸ₯°
I hope you all are enjoying your day!
Tina
