I'm not a big celebrater of the day, but we used to enjoy dressing up and going to a Halloween Ball at the Eagles club earlier in our marriage. I think I enjoyed making the costumes more than the dance! We've been Raggedy Ann & Andy, Dracula & Spiderella, Union soldier and Southern belle, jesters, flapper & mobster, and a belly dancer. Such fun. But fun can also be sitting in our recliners, dozing in front of TV reruns!

We got all those errands done yesterday plus I got a little cloth book on farm animals half way finished for Amara and a "pleather" cover measured and pinned for our toaster oven which is going along for the ride to TX and will sit outside our trailer on a small table once we get there. I hope to finish up those two things today and then pack up my machine and tools.
TINA - Sorry Easton lost his game. Also sorry the coach isn't very good, but perhaps she only stepped in at the last minute when no one else would even though she doesn't know how to coach. That has happened here. I hope Easton feels better today. Yesterday the news reported a new, extremely contagious Covid varient is showing up, so be on the lookout for the usual symptoms. Soup sounds like a good choice these chilly days! Glad you can get some Christmas quilting work done even with him at the house. How are those quilts coming along?
BECCA - Your opthmalogist said your eyes are bad?? In what way? That party sounds like the most awesome kids' party ever! I bet it was fun to hold the little one! I will send you a photo of the little book I am making. I think I ordered it from Missouri Star.
CAROL - Wow! What a productive day you had - working on four different quilts! And you got the Halloween quilt finished just under the wire! Good luck with your eye appt!
LORI - You're going to an eye appt, too? I feel left out! That's a lot of WIP's. I simply don't have room to keep more than one project out at a time. And I'm too lazy to keep packing up half finished projects to work on others. But I do make exceptions in quilt emergencies or lottos and swaps. Nice of you to take care of your friend's cats. My sister has been caring for her neighbor's cat, Joey, for almost 3 months. Joey's mom had to go to a facility so Joey is living by himself except for my sister's twice daily visits. She combs, feeds, waters, and loves up Joey every visit. Joey is probably eating up all the attention. Joey's mom should be back home with him again soon. Joey is white and black, looks like a holstein. My sis calls him "Cow Cat".

I think we are going to grill burgers tonite for supper. We'll also have a salad and some tater tots. Still working on emptying the freezer!
What's on your menu for tonite?
