SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Oct 15th
Good morning,
Did anyone see the eclispe yesterday? All we had was a yellowish light for about 7 min. We were cloudy and drizzly all morning long. But I did get the last of my Christmas packages ready to mail! Yay!! Last thing before leaving for TX, we'll hit the post office. I also picked up all the messes I've made through the house over the past few weeks. The mess is all corralled now in the downstairs family room. Our trailer is packed and hitched. We'll watch the Seahawks game this morning and then hit the highway west. Our first night will be in Montesano so we can see Bill's family then tomorrow morning on to the coast where we'll spend 3 more nights before coming back on Thursday.
TINA - Nope - as big as Texas brags about being, the closest RV park we've found to the kids is a half-hour drive. And while we also have a lot of RV parking on our property, their driveway is shorter than our 30-foot fiver! Besides, who wants their parents suddenly moving in on their lives for 2 full months? We really try to respect their right to privacy and just show up when they want us to. I know you will love having Kevin with you for a whole week! What a treat!
BECCA - you live in senior housing, don't you? Not assisted living? Do they have an assisted living section of your apartment complex? You are really keeping busy! Making lots of memories for yourself and for your family!
LORI - I agree about the magazines the past few years - so ho-hum. But Tina's right about the latest AP&Q - I also want to make everything! (well, except for the one with all the HST's! lol!). And Judi said the same thing! I get AP&Q, McCall's Quilting, and Block. Even Block hasn't inspired me much lately. Another top finished! You go, girl!
CAROL - what a great way to teach the quilting basics! And nice for the Meals on Wheels clients to get pretty placemats.
Well, our original plan for tonite was to grab a pizza, take it to Bill's sister's house, and have a few hours for a nice visit with them. But suddenly, ALL her family are coming - in-laws, grands, etc, plus Ed's daughters and kids who we don't even know! Last head count we heard was 15. So the pizza was taken out of our hands. So we said we'd bring dessert. Nope - they got that covered. Pop for the kids? nope. So we're taking Costco cookies, wine, and flowers for Becky's birthday which was last Tuesday. But, I THINK it's still going to be pizza, but they are getting it.
I'm not sure if I'll have internet at the ocean so if you don't hear from me, I hope someone else will set the table. And we'll be feasting on grilled burgers, mac & cheese, and soup and sandwiches. Simple camping food.

Mary, have a fun trip. I think any time spent at the beach is nice no matter the weather.
I'll be spending a week on the beach in March. Can't wait. I'm thinking about going down tomorrow for the day.
Becca, I seem to get new doctors a lot. I got to a University hospital, so there is a lot of change over. I'm used to it.
It's hot today. In the 90's again. I sure hope this is the last blast of hot weather. I'm so done with it.
I did some errands today. Got a few things done around the house, and we did take the boys to the park this morning. I put up the other side of my table runner on the design wall. Now to sew it together.
Dinner will be order in pizza and salad.
Have a lovely evening.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Oct 15th
Good Evening,
After Mass this morning I spent the afternoon quilting and cutting a placemat. I need to make placemat tops so we can teach the next class on October 28th.
Maryz - Have fun!
Becca - Best wishes for a good doctor visit tomorrow.
Lori - Hope you got the table runner completed. Your dinner sounds delicious!
Dinner will be leftovers. We seem to have an abundance! Think I will be having Bean Soup.
