A beautiful morning but will be a scorcher of an afternoon. My plan this morning is as soon as I finish this post I'm going out for more berries. Sigh. I'm sick of berries. But our friends would like some and they are both rather decrepit and their berry patch is almost inaccessible but they try. Last year she fell into the berries and couldn't get out. He was napping upstairs and I think she had her phone so called him to come rescue her. She was a mess after that for a few days. They watch our house for us while we are gone in the winter, so I can pick a few berries for them. Ours are easy access. It will be a surprise.
This afternoon, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I've been wrapping Christmas presents - our Christmas has to be all ready by October. I'm almost there. I also want to pull fabrics for Cat Scratch, a cousin to my Catholes quilt. This one will be for me. I'm not sure what other trouble I can find to get into but I'm sure something will pop up.
IRISH - HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVE! Since I'm prone to forgetting things like this on the actual days, I'm getting ahead of the birthday wishes game. I hope someone has something fun planned for you! Sounds like maybe a birthday dinner with your camp pals? I would love a rainy day here. You are lucky! We we did see the video on our news of that explosion. Thought of you immediately and wondered how close to you it was! Do they know yet what caused it? So sad. How fun for Kathy to perform wedding ceremonies! At first, when I read that she married Tim's grandson, my immediate thought was, "Say what??!" Then I read the rest of the sentence.

BECCA - hope your dental appt today goes well. Is this the drilling appt or the crown seating appt? Either way - ugh! As for thrift shopping, not all days are diamonds.

LORI - your quilt is stunning!! I love the colors you chose, too! It's a happy quilt!
JANA - We've made many calendars as gifts over the years. And I have been thinking of making one of those books for the kids of Amara's first year. But that's a ways off yet. Many years ago when we made a trip to NY and PA we learned that what Easterners call a "camp" is what Westerners call a mountain cabin or a beach house. So I was on to Irish when she talked about their 'camp'. When does the landscaping start?
Bill pointed out to me yesterday (after I told him what I said) that I told you at the beginning of my post that we were going out to supper. And at the end of my post what we might be cooking here. Duh! Anyone else catch that? But he's decided tonite he'd like burgers. So burgers it shall be. And salad.
What's are you having?
