SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, July 25th
Good morning,
I'm out on the deck and boy are the owls putting on a show for me this morning! They are flying all around me, playing peek-a-boo, and chatting. They are like outdoor pets! I've gotten pretty good at imitating their "speech" so they answer me sometimes.
Yesterday I finished my set of 8 cat placemats. I think my sis will like them. All cat, but 8 different fabrics on the front, all same fabric on the back, and all quilted differently on my Bernie. Today I might load a charity quilt, make August lotto blocks, or start cutting Catholes. I pulled the fabrics for it last week. And I might make one for myself, too, while I'm at it. So lots of choices to keep me out of trouble today. Chores are caught up for now so the day is mine to waste as I wish.
BECCA - sorry the wreath class was disappointing. Maybe the painting class will be better. When you swim, is it a class or is it just free swim?
CAROL - Certified Wildlife Habitat is interesting. I'm going to check that out more thoroughly because of our owls. They live in our tall trees and also in Vicki's next door, but soon her land will be cleared to make room for a bunch of big new homes. I fear for our owls and I'm not getting much response from Fish and Wildlife.
I was thinking I might make chile rellenos tonight - or taco casserole. We'll see what Mr DH wishes.
How about you? What are you wishing for tonite?
This just in: Mr. DH requests hanburgers, jo-jo's, and we'll split an ear of corn. easy peasy.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, July 25th
Good afternoon!
Got my nursing duties done, patient has all his vitals done, showered and dressed. Michael has a Dr appointment in a couple of hours and shortly the little girls will be here for a short time. Their parents have a appointment too. Matt is taking Michael and his binder to the Dr appointment. Tomorrow is the surgeon visit. A do all over again! LOL! I don't mind the showers, as I get wet and cool off!
The littles will help me straighten and then we'll make a batch of cookies. Chocolate chip. I got new cookie scoops that need trying out.
Dinner tonight will be a fresh ground chicken patty, salad, and maybe a barely cheesy twice baked potato. I need to control how much cheese for Michael. Broccoli will appear too.
The travelers are having too much fun together! I get calls as they are driving, seeing sights and lots of giggles and stories! They had to stop and take a picture of the tsunami warning signs on the Oregon Coast. They are heading towards where we lived, Sarah needs her fix of a mole sauce from our favorite Mexican restaurant in Concord. She has orders from mom to bring me a quart home. There's plenty of room in the freezer in the RV. They are also stopping at the Peanuts museum in Santa Rosa. Sandee is a fanatic for all things Peanuts!
I picked up my groceries earlier and have that all put away. Thursday is Stu's day off, so I make a Costco run then.
Mary - Bill too - thank you so much for putting up with my tribe! You're beyond terrific!
Well, time to scoot,
Hugs,
Jana

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, July 25th
Good afternoon from a very warm, humid SW. Pa....Yep, it's me, the one who promised to check more often but life has a way of getting in the way....Hopefully, that is all behind me, only good days ahead....Have gotten pretty good reports from all the doctors but still waiting to hear I'm allowed to fly or at least go away further than 2 hours to camp, lol.....
I have been trying to keep up with you gals and of course you've all tired me out something terrible.........So much has been happening and have been sending prayers for those who are in need and those who's days might not be going too great.....
Mary, Love to hear what all you've been doing and will you be posting a picture of those placemats? Sure hate to think of the land being cleared next door and all the critters that will suffer....It's happening all around but I'm very, very lucky where my house is, right across the street is a row of trees and then a nice big wooded area and a retention pond, so I know, there will be no homes put in close by....I can sit on my front porch and laugh at the deer, unless they venture across to my flower beds and then I have to talk to them! Guess it is partly my fault, I do put food out (across the street) so maybe they just want to thank me, lol......
Becca, so happy to see you've gotten into your new home...It's always a little scary at 1st but more and more, it becomes "home"...With mine, I can't imagine living anywhere else, just love it and my neighbors (including the deer, not so much the ground hogs, lol)...
Jana, I missed seeing the reason for Michael's surgery but so happy to hear he's really on the mend....I know how you feel about riding in the car and airbags...My Mom was a tiny lady and I always tried to take her on rides but that also worried me...I did make sure the seat was pushed back as far as it would go, but it is a worry, unless he sits in the back seat......
Chriss, Have been trying to follow you and Gerry's adventure...It sure does seem like at long last, something is being done and does sound positive...Thank goodness he has you!
The news on my homefront, my sister's house is sold and the closing is on the 4th...This has been a long time coming and hopefully, the new owners will be as nice and love the house...The lady of the house wants to get chickens which, even though, I hated them when I lived there, but think it's great now......And my sister loves her new house more and more especially because she has so many ailments and is now on 1 floor...She now is scheduled to have a hip replacement, hopefully, right after Labor Day....
My other good news, Nick is finally coming to the states and it's next week....Originally, they were to come in June but Trisha's paperwork wasn't done so they kept delaying...Well, now, instead of flying here, Nick is flying to Florida next Tuesday, their cat is flying alone, a couple days later and then Trisha will be coming in a couple of weeks...Nick's car is up here so he'll eventually fly up for the car and then stop in Tennessee to see his Dad.....I was teasing Trisha about the change in weather, from the rainy, dreary days in England to the humid, sunny shores of the Panhandle...She's the gal how loves Walmart so I'm sure, she'll need to be getting summery clothes.....I'll just be so glad to have them on this side of the pond and fairly close to his Dad, Terry.......
I've finally gotten back to the machine and my sewing room looks like it! I'm now quilting a Tee Shirt quilt for my nephew and hopefully, will soon be done...I've moved my machine out into the middle of the room and put the ironing board behind it to be able to flop the quilt on it but it sure is giving my arms and shoulders a workout......Thank goodness I can just close the door and walk away, lol.....
Not sure about my supper, still have no appetite...I had planted 2 tomato plants and finally have gotten 2 ripe ones so maybe a salad.......
You all have a great rest of the day......
Happy eating......................

Good Afternoon,
Nice to see so many around the table today. It was getting a bit lonesome.
Maryz - Glad to hear about the owls again! You may need to bring in help to protect the owls. Did you take pictures of the placemats? You sound like your day today is busy.
Jana - Nice that Matt can take Michael to the doctor. Yes, seatbelts are a problem, especially for the passenger, but they do save lives. My vote is have him ride in the backseat. Enjoy making cookies with the girls.
Becca - Glad you are enjoying your walks and swimming!
Irish - Sounds like good news from you! May it continue.
I went to farmer's market today and then to Costco for a few things. Now I don't know what to have for supper. LOL There is plenty of food!
I also stopped by a new dentist to make appointments. I haven't been happy with my dentist. They were not billing the insurance company just wanting cash. They were dismissed on Monday, and I found a new dentist. I have the forms all filled out and will see the new dentist in the fall. I just had my teeth cleaned so do not need to see him right away.
Dinner tonight?? I think it may be a farro salad. I really am not sure. I have a meeting tonight on Zoom.

Hi everyone!
I'm sliding in for a howdy at my bedtime again.
We got up by 6am and left by 7 for Frankie's root canal. He was really worried about getting it, I tried telling him the one I had at least 15 years ago wasn't painful. He was surprised that he had no pain at all too. The shots to numb him hurt a little just like at the dentist. He's had headache all day since though from whatever the numbing shot stuff is, he always gets a bad headache from that.
I've gotta clean my kitchen real quick before bed, I can't stand to have a dirty kitchen especially over night, so I clean it.
We had tacos and guacamole.
Hi to each and every one of you, so good to see you all at the table ❤
