SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Apr 28
Good morning from Prosser, Wa in SE WA.
We drove over yesterday from the coast. An enjoyable drive, nice weather, light traffic. We are parked at a Boondocker Host’s site. Our first time being a guest after hosting for 2 yrs. We are in middle of quiet fields. Sheep are our neighbors. Doves are cooing, weather is purrfect, our host is a delight. And our club winery, where we are going today, is only 2 miles away. Our host works at a different winery so we’re going to his winery, too. But only those two wineries.
I’ve read all you’ve posted last several days to get caught up
Tina- that’s crazy about your dad‘s truck calling everybody. Did you get it stopped? Figure out why?
Lori, you’ve joined another guild? How far is it to their meetings? How often are there meetings? Is it a large guild? Glad Jack is helping you get your exercise. Such a good dog.
Becca: if your medical appointments or just routine there is probably no point in going when you will be moving in a matter of weeks. I hope you find all good healthcare folks when you are re-settled. Prayers for Gabe today
Jana, what a close call! That could’ve been such a nasty accident. Lucky your angel – and apparently your husband! - were on the job! Are you getting much sewing done this week while you have the batt Cave all to yourself?
Carol, did you get the Tennessee waltz top finished? I know it’s going to be pretty!
I don’t know what dinner will be. Lots of restaurants in town but with the barrel tasting event going on in the entire area at all the wineries, restaurants will be full. So we will either do a very late lunch/early dinner out or just have something fast in the trailer.
We will be on the road again tomorrow, heading for home. It’s about 225 miles. Lots to do when we get home I think empty and clean trailer, laundry, yardwork. Plus, I want to join the May lotto, work some more on OWL, And finish the shirt I have have made and sitting on the work table in my sewing room. Plus, I have some ideas for quilts I’d like to make through the year. My sister and brother-in-law arrive in three weeks and will be with us for three weeks. This summer is going to fly by!!

Mary, yes, I joined another guild. It's about 28 miles so we go early have dinner someplace local, go to a quilt shop and then the meeting. They have some good speakers, so we'll try it out. It's a large guild. I think they have more than 300 members. They do a lot of philanthropy monthly. I bet your drive was lovely.
Becca, hope all goes well for Gabe. Glad they were able to get the tumor out.
I've been walked by Jack. I also went up to my dads to help him with a few things. Now it's time to get busy in the yard, then the sewing room.
Dinner will be leftovers.
Have a lovely day.

Good afternoon from chilly, rainy, SW. Pa....I'm getting dizzy from watching Mother Nature messing with our temps...One day it's almost 80 and shorts, the next in the 50s and sweats....
Mary, love to hear about your trip and your plans...One of the 1st times, my sister and I visited with Kathy, she took us to Napa and those wineries were unbelievable, especially one that was called the Castle...One funny, when we got there, my sister saw a sign for a "flight" that was a pretty good price but she thought it was to fly over the winery and was disappointed when they handed her a glass of wine...She is not a wine drinker and the faces she made were priceless...Of course, Kathy said, the wine out west is real and the wine back east tastes like soda or pop.....That's also interesting about staying with a Boondocker and the sheep...One of the times Kathy camped, they woke up to a herd of goats and they were the kind, if you make a loud noise, they fall over...She like you have so many fun times to talk about...Kathy and Tim are now back in Vegas on their way home from a week in Mexico and a week in Arizona....I keep saying, when I grow up, I want to be just like Kathy.....
Becca, On my, so glad to hear the surgery is over and seems to be good news...It's unbelievable when the doctors are doing these days....And it won't be long before you are in your new home.....Did I tell you, I looked up your new area and it's absolutely gorgeous and just perfect!
Jana, oh my, that really was a close call, gave me shivers...Thank goodness you are OK...I think, when you're driving today, you need to have eyes, not only in the front but all around...It does get scary sometimes.....I was wondering, when your landscapers are done at your place, could you send them my way???? Just being able to work on mine for a little at a time, I'm guessing I might be done by Thanksgiving....Thank goodness I have Kevin to do the grass and help carry my bags of stuff, lol.....
As I said, trying to clean up the flower beds but today, got a reprieve. I thought for sure, I'd get so much inside stuff done but so far that's not working....I have a habit of going from 1 thing to another and then nothing is really done.....But, you know my motto, put off today what you can do tomorrow!.......
Not sure what I'm having for dinner.....I did hard boil some eggs so maybe egg salad and soup, maybe...I never get hungry so sometimes I forget.....I don't even eat chips any more, haven't had any in the house for months and I used to be the "Chip Queen"....
You all have a great rest of the day.....
Happy eating......................

Good Afternoon,
Maryz - Sounds like you are in an idyllic location. Enjoy the wine tours! Tennessee Waltz is together just needs borders. I had another project that I had to work on for Guild.
Irish - Sorry for your reprieve. Sounds like you are not feeling up to doing the garden or is it the weather??
Becca - A fresh new hairdo or is it just a trim? I am getting a trim next week. My hair feels too long right now, and the foggy weather isn't helping.
Lori - That is a large guild. They must have really great speakers. Yardwork and sewing sound like a great combination. I have been doing my usual Friday of laundry and bathroom cleaning and added bedroom, living room and dining room cleaning as well as kitchen cleaning. lol
I did get to the gym today and am making Parmesan Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Salad and Broccoli for dinner.
Have a wonderful evening!
Carol
