Good morning,
Chilly morning here. Showers forecast but none right now.
Yesterday Scottie did get the OK to shake off his cone. Yay! And he got his last eye ointment, too. Friday he goes back to have stitches removed and he's done! I haven't told him yet that he has a groom appt in a week. He hates grooms almost as much as he hates cones. As for me, I simply sat and cross stitched a few hours with my audio book playing. Then we went to Tacoma to pick up my machine and stopped at Hobby Lobby where I got a bit of Christmas fabric at 60% off. I was looking for ghost fabric, but they told me they don't sell Halloween fabric at all. Today I'll be making some quilt labels for the Nutcrackers now that my machine is home. But first - we have early blood draws. And I need a short list of grocery stuff to make an appetizer to take to friends tomorrow night.
JANA - thanks for the ideas. I actually sliced my tube of polenta and made mini pizzas with sauce, pepperoni, and cheese. They weren't bad. The hot cocoa and doughnuts sounds like my idea of a fun Halloween! My brother in AK had a tradition that was known to truckers across the state. EVery Halloween, he had a big bonfire and his wife made vats of chili, baskets of cornbread, and hot coffee. It was open invitation and they had truckers (mostly) stopping by from all over for a hot meal, and a chat around the fire.
BECCA - You are right - living in places like you and I and Tina and Chickie do, it's hard to keep floors/carpets clean. I am constantly sweeping up dirt, fir needles, and little maple "helicopters" that come in with the fur kids. Is Brodee back to his usual self?
CAROL - you really have been productive this year! That's a lot of quilts! Glad you found a good substitute for your invisible thread. I would think Bottom Line would work well if you could match the colors.
TINA - hope you are feeling better today. I also get a little obsessive about clean sheets when one of us is sick.
I'm going to make homemade pepperoni pizza for supper tonite. And a salad.
What's sounding good to you?

Good Morning,
Maryz - I have a blood draw this morning too! My doctor's appointment is next Tuesday, but I have a skin check appointment this afternoon. Then this evening is the Board meeting. I will not get any sewing done today, but I am meeting my co-Chair for lunch. We are having a mug rug exchange and need to pull names to assign who is making who's mug rug. We have 43 participants (a very good number!).
Dinner tonight will probably be leftover Chili and Cornbread. DH really enjoyed it last night.
