SUPPER CLUB- Tuesday,April18

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Apr 19, 2022 6:02 am

Good morning,

I'mhaving trouble with my space bar again today. Somedays it sticks, some days it doesn't. Andwhen itdoes, the B and N keys alsostick. ARGGHH...

It's cold, wet, gloomy here. Yesterday I turned up the furnace and kept all the lights on in the house. Even our outdoor decorative deck lights. Today should be slightly better but not too much. Iwas happyto be doinglaundry - the warm clothes felt so good when I folded them. I did some work on my penguins and read for a while. Today, besides penguins, I think I will bring out my tote of summer clothes, see what fits, wash them, and also clean/purge some dresser drawers. Maybe if I dress the part, summer will come . . .

BECCA-I remember your son's wedding date is April 21. My sister's 44th anniversary. And Mary Q's DD from Alaska is flying to FL sometime in April to get married. She won't be there either. And now my Autumn. I guess things do come in threes! I wish all our newly-wed kids years and years of happy! It won't bother me if we're not there. I know she is over the moon happy and that's what matters to me.

LORI - hooray for Jonathon arriving! Is he staying now or is this just another visit?

CAROL - I camped in one state park in Santa Barbara back in 1988. It was right on the beach and oh so gorgeous. That was in my old life. So Bill and I went to that same park about 11years ago and it had been let go to wrack and ruin. It wasn't well maintained. It was so disappointing. So we went up into the hills to a huge county park not far from Santa Ynez and Solvang. I forget the name of that park. That was a great park on a lake! I'm happy to hear your eyes are looking good! (no pun intended).

We grilled extra chicken last night so tonite I'm going to make chicken and pasta with pesto ingredients: basil, garlic, toasted walnuts, olive oil, and parmesan. A salad on the side, too.

Good morning! I made it to the table finally! Easter was great here, purrfect beautiful weather too, I was sooooo busy though I didn't get a chance to check in. Eggs got hidden twice for the kids and then the kids hid then for all is adults to find, so much fun. Yesterday was another busy day. I should be busy now but I'm not LOL plenty to do just no want to do it.
Mary, we've hit the 90°'s now, I think we get a cool off Saturday and Sunday though. We're cloudy today but zero chance of any rain. I hosed my windows off yesterday while I was watering, it made a huge difference taking that first film off on the outside, now I don't feel like my glasses are dirty all the time.
Mary, such great news about Autumn and the wedding and your brother going for a visit, I say it's great to be you too!
Your tv weighs a lot, glad you had help.
Becca, I really hope CA feels like going out, it's gonna be a great treat!
Wow, all these weddings coming up, so awesome!
I've just been doing same old stuff everyday, nothing new LOL
Supper tonight will be leftovers. Dad and Jazmyne will be here and that should take care of leftovers. I'm gonna make ham sliders out of the leftover ham.

Good morning!

Tractor is home and sounds really good. All leaks fixed and ready for work this summer.

Dinner - I have some rotisserie chicken that can be turned into a number of things - enchiritos, chicken and noodles, Caesar salad, so I will see what mood strikes me, later today. Also depends on if Ethan fanagles a invitation to dinner. He loves Grandma's cooking..

Mary- I am with you - rookery is a good way to describe your penguins of which will be done soon . So what is next in your project queue?

Becca - meeting up with old friends sounds wonderful! Weddings coming up quickly!

So not much new around here. Michael spilled on my cleaned washed carpet, so he got the look and then he went and got out the little green machine and cleaned up his mess. There are firsts for everything! LOL! The new scissors arrived and they are his and seem to work for what he needs. I will not use these, as shortly, they will be cutting plastic. No fabric for these!

Heading down to play, and maybe straighten up a tad

Hugs,
Jana

Good afternoon from a very cold, snowy, damp, SW. Pa....Finally, I've found my way back to the computer....Sadly, Kathy has gone home, Easter is over and now it's just Babygirl and me for awhile.....No one should have as much fun as I've been having with Kathy being here and visiting with the rest of the family.....I'm still trying to get over Easter...Easter at Kevin's was unbelievable, his 2 boys, their wives, 3 dogs and 1 little 2 1/2 year old tornado...The dogs and Emma never stopped and didn't do bad in the eating department...Kevin called on Monday to see if I survived...And I'm also thinking there might just be a new great grandbaby on the way....Smudge's wife wasn't as perky and just looked that way.....

Mary, Kathy always turned on all the lights and when we could, buy bigger just to chase the gloom away...Now, she says, they might get snow but it's almost always blue skies in Reno....Funny that you're going through summer clothes...I was doing the same thing and how weird to be trying on shorts while it's snowing...But, for me, I'm putting mine in the suitcase and hopefully will be using them in the next few weeks....

I love to hear how you and Bill are watching "my eagles"....I feel so sorry when it's rainy or cold but the parents really do take care of them....A few years ago, we had a terrible snow and Momma was completely covered and another time it was raining and Dad came to the nest and spread his wings over Mom to help keep his family dry....They really are special.....

I'm so excited for you and your up coming special times...You are so right, if the kids are happy, that's what counts and with so many people praying for Autumn, she'll have a long happy life with her fella....AND to have your brother visit, gonna be good.....

Becca, how lucky for you to have sun in your neck of the woods....Those in the know keep saying we're going to be getting warmer (after I leave).....But, I need a little warmer so I can get out and get the flower beds cleaned out and then of course go to the green house and buy more.....How special to have a friend call to get together...Lots of catching up to do....Yesterday, I had an appointment near where I used to live and afterwards I called and asked my old buddy if she wanted company....We sat for over 2 hours catching up and with the promise to do it more often......I know, you're happy about the upcoming wedding and you will be there in spirit.....

Tina, I kind of like hearing about your warm weather but 90, isn't that a little early? Kathy did tell me it's going to be very hot when we get to Sedona....And I'm still in awe of the picture on FB....Your Jazmyne is a gorgeous young lady....Great picture......

Wasn't able to talk to Terry yesterday, was curious about his 1st day at the new job....I have seen pictures of the house he's rented and it's really nice...Did tell him, whether he wants or not, I'll be visiting, lol.....His wife, Theresa, did come back on Sat., getting the house ready to put on the market....There again, as much as I didn't like to see them move, if this is what they want and are happy, that's perfect....I also talked to Stephan and he's looking to be transferred from Kanas to the east coast and he said, in talking to Nick, he's hoping to do the same thing...To have them all closer will be the answer to my prayers......

I need to get back to the mounds of summer clothes on the bed, get some packed and the rest back in the bin till it gets warmer around here...But, one thing for sure, you won't ever hear me say it's too hot......For my dinner, it's going to be left over ham and potato salad, from Kevin's....

You all have a great rest of the day......

Happy eating....................
