Good morning,
We are 40* this morning, but girding for colder low's this week. Good quilting weather!
Yesterday Bill finished quilting LOTR and I have the binding on one side. Will machine stitch down the other side this morning. I also made pillowcases to go with and after a series of label-making woes (see today's sew-in for that long story) I have the label ready to attach. It will all be done this morning! We'll zip over to Home Goods 2 miles away, where I saw some pretty boxes for a nice presentation. I also finished and mailed 4 March Lotto blocks. This is going to be a great quilt for one lucky winner! Next on my list will be to make a wedding garter for Autumn. I don't think there's any rush. But Tuesday we will be in Tacoma, dropping off our pick-up for an oil change at Dodge dealer and it is close to Joann's so I can get what I need then. I haven't made a garter in years, but I used to make some pretty nice ones . . .
TINA - you talking of painting with Kilz makes me think of Vicki. Some years ago she stripped her cabinet doors, drawers, flooring, walls, countertops all off and burned everything outside. Then she painted every remaining surface with Kilz. Even some furniture, the insides of her now door-less cabinets and the spaces where the drawers used to be. I haven't peeked in any windows for several months now, but last I saw it was all still covered with just Kilz. I will never see the word "Kilz" now without thinking of her.
BECCA - I really miss my brothers, too. We 6 siblings have always been very close. You're 5' 2"? In my family that's tall! lol! Lara is a whopping 5' 3", the tallest woman in my family in 3 generations!
JANA - we love the sound of kids playing, too. I hated to see the woods across the road get cleared and homes built, but we do get to hear kids occasionally, so that's a good trade-off. So, do you have room for Daniel, et al? I'm sure you're happy to MAKE room! lol! I was wondering about family in CA that they might be leaving. I know when Mike and I took toddler Lara and moved to Denver in 1974, neither set of grandparents were happy! But circumstances changed and we moved back 3 months later. Your wallhanging sounds interesting!
VELDA - so how do you like your new air fryer so far?
We have some mac & cheese and also leftover kielbasa so I think we'll make a supper out of that tonite. I also have lots of veggies so might roast a mix of cauliflower, carrots, broccoli.
And what can we get for you?

Good morning!
Mary, that's really neat that you can make garters, I'm looking forward to seeing it.
What a day you had yesterday! Glad it all ended ok.
I guess Vicki wanted to kilz everything LOL maybe she thinks it sanitizes.
I need to eat breakfast and make the bed so I can go paint more this morning. As soon as it hits 50° we'll go out. Monday through Wednesday it's going to be dirt blowing days so that'll be sewing days for me. Tomorrow is supposed to be gusts of 60mph, ugh.
Tonight's supper will be tacos and I'll make some guacamole.

Hello everyone sunny here but cold Sure will be glad when Warmer temps arrive
Although I love the change of seasons It’s just been a very cold Winter for us
I watched my two Church services today

Maryz I have 2 grandsons One 6’4 & another 6’5 Brothers they are Rest of family is shorter My Brothers we’re all short I’m anxious to hear about Drew & his quilt
Tina You really have to work around the weather Those winds are bad news Will be happy when you can finish
Jana I could write a book on all Denise has done for Avery She is an only child & grandchild s she’s the Princess Of course Denise has told her how her class always treated someone new Their neighbors came over to Welcome them so I’m sure she will do fine at School & Home I’m hoping her nightmares cease
