Supper Club -Monday, Jan 24

Good morning!

No wind this morning! But the day is young. We’ll see how it goes. Should be 75° this afternoon. We moved yesterday to a big casino that has a large lot for RV parking, and parked our trailer so it is a windbreak. This is a better spot. We sat out through much of the afternoon, reading, enjoying the desert view. Sunsets are magnificent here. We were able to cook our bacon and eggs outside. Not Sure if today will be windy or not.

When it was time to come inside, I was laying the folded chairs under the trailer and when I stood up I cracked my head on the sharp corner of the trailer door. I saw stars! Then blood happened. Seems like quite a bit of blood, considering it was all mine! 😵 A little exciting for a bit. Did not need stitches and simply applied pressure for a while. Then I had to carefully shampoo my hair in the sink. Had very quiet evening after that, went to bed early, slept great. Slight headache and feeling of pressure this morning but otherwise, no worse for wear.

Carol, what a fun quilty experience you had! Love your quilt!! And you got to come home to a clean house and yard to boot! It’s good to be you!

Tina, I hate wind too. Not so bad in the desert if inside but at home there is a lot of potential for trees and limbs coming down. Happy birthday to Frankie!! The only chocolate cake I do like is German. Good thing I wasn’t there or he would have had to share

Lori, I think the challenge will be fun. I saw an exhibit several years ago of projects made from a challenge fabric and the things people came up with were astounding. Can’t wait to see yours!

Velda, how are your eyes doing? Are you all healed now? Sewing today?

Jana, i know you did great in your class. What is on your sewing agenda for this week?

Becca, do you have any remnants of your storm left? How is your hubby‘s hip doing?

We have leftover cooked bacon so I’m going to crumble it up and we’re going to have pasta carbonara tonight for our supper.

What’s on the menu at your house?

Good early afternoon from a very snow covered, very cold, SW. Pa....I have decided, I'm done with winter, have cancelled my subscription and ordered the new spring/summer issue......Geez, enough is enough......Yesterday, early afternoon, I was getting ready to go take care of Dan's fur babies and by the time I got in the car, I made it out of the park and the street was covered...We have a Dollar General, just down the street so I pulled in there, got some milk and a box of SnowBalls and came back home...Dan has the keyless entry (code) so he called a neighbor to come over and make sure the babies were OK....Now, today, the streets are fine, just need to uncover the car...Thank goodness for the automatic starter!

Mary, Oh Mary, that poor head of yours and how simple and quick something like that can happen....Thank goodness you didn't need stitches (makes me shudder just thinking of it)......Just yesterday while the Penguins were playing one of the players was pushed into the boards and really made a mess on the ice and the whole way back to the dressing room...Took a long time cleaning up the blood, yuck.........Your supper sounds delish.........

Tina, wish Frankie a happy birthday from me....Besides a fantastic cake, any other special plans for the day?

Becca, Right before the last storm hit, I had to stop at Walmart for my RX and of course it was crowded but the shelves were packed with potty paper and paper towels. I was really surprised..Now yesterday when I made my quick stop at DG, I noticed a lot of towels but potty paper was low...I think there were a lot of people doing the same "quick stop", the parking lot was filled and the guy was busy stocking the milk and bread.....Do love our DG and hopefully, it will become one of those with fresh veggies and other goodies....I think we're also to be a little warmer tomorrow, sure hope so....I'm just hoping no more snow and I'm able to get out of here by next Sunday......

Jana, been thinking of your family and hoping those with the "nasties" are on the mend...I'm thinking (hoping) all of ours are done with those germs....But thankful, no one was worse than a nasty cold.....How did your lesson go yesterday? Knowing you, it was spot on!

Better get moving, going to visit with the fur babies and hopefully get back before the next round of white stuff comes.....I'd like to stop at Joannes and pick up some Mickey fabric...The friend that I'm going to visit in Florida is a Mickey nut and just finished her master bath room with a Mickey design and I'd like to make her a tissue cover and then maybe a couple place matts.....

I cooked chicken yesterday to make Chicken ala king and didn't have the pimentos so unless I stop and get them, it will be chicken salad.....And if I get home in time, might mix up a batch of cinnamon rolls....I'm in the mood for something gooey........

You all have a great rest of the day.......

Happy eating..........................

Good afternoon!

In the middle of rearranging my butler's pantry and making a huge mess! Sorting out stuff that will go to DI - Deseret Industries- like Goodwill - stuff staying and stuff going to Acme landfill. Otherwise known as the dumps! I put out my Valentine decorations while Michael is making the mess. I am in the pitching mode. It needs to have a useful purpose or out it goes!

Dinner is in the unknown category, may scrounge up leftovers or the car knows the way.

Mary - ouch! Hope you are better today. I know oh so well about hitting my head on corners of upper kitchen cabinets many times in my life. Rest up! Hope Bill does well today.

Becca - my Costco has had most of all paper goods. Hope you find some. Glad too to read CA is better..

Irish- those door locks are wonderful! I love mine on the front to let in who I want. My kids can come and go too. Now to convince Michael which door bell camera to get. Then I am set in the Batt Cave - food, water, fabric, potty and who is at the door, if I want to answer it! Lots of chip bags down there too! All the kids are doing well. Sandee went back to teaching today.

Well, my lovely assistance is now required,

Hugs,
Jana
