SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Jan 12

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Jan 12, 2022 2:03 am

Good morning,

I was groggy yesterday from a sleepless night and I'm worse this morning. Foxy is missing since yesterday about 4:30pm He always comes back and he can get into the trailer when we leave an outdoor storage bin door open. I'm really worried - so no sleep. Plus, Bill is now sick with something. A non-Covid resp virus is sweeping the valley here so it could be that, but we'll get tested tomorrow. Our plan was to leave next Tuesday, earlier than orginally planned. But we are actually paid up to Feb 2nd so we may be going to Plan C.

Tonite's supper is going to be breakfast - eggs, bacon, hashbrowns. My favorite.

P.S. I'm feeling better now - we found Foxy. He's stuck under a mobile home two sites away from our trailer. We can't get him out and the people are sleeping. And Foxy is letting us know he wants OUT. So I'm impatient to get my hands on him, but I'm so relieved he is OK. Bill seems OK, too. Definitely a cold or ?? Test appts tomorrow.

Mary, So happy to hear that Foxy has been found and Bill is feeling better. That should make you feel so much better too. Missing babies and down and out DH's make for sleepless nights, no matter who you are. But both at one time is double trouble. Been praying for all of you, the cat too. God is watching over you, the cat will be home soon, and Bill will get better. Praying you don't catch whatever he has.

Take care. God bless, Hugs and love across the miles, Shirley Mae

ps Hi everyone else too.

Mary, so glad you found Foxy. I wouldn't be able to sleep either. Is he on kitty restriction now? Hope Bill will be okay. The timing for him to get sick is not good. Hope you don't get it as well.

Becca, sorry CA isn't eating. That must be stressful for you.

Last night at guild we had Guide Dogs of America (GDA) come to pick up the raffle quilt my friendship group made. Every other year our guild presents GDA with a quilt to raffle off. They sell tickets all year long and the money goes to raising guide dogs for the blind. People who get the dogs pay nothing. It's all funded though donations and volunteers. It cost about 60k to raise and train a one dog. GDA is a great organization.

I worked on those little 2 1/2 inch sawtooth stars yesterday. I should have all 30 done by this afternoon. One inch square pieces are hard to work with.

Dinner will be chicken enchilada pie.

The puppy is Sylar, and that's the quilt we made.

Have a lovely day.
