Supper Club Wednesday Oct 6

Post by gershwin64 » Wed Oct 06, 2021 10:59 am

Good morning!
Well it's barely before noon LOL
Today is Kevin and Maria's anniversary, they flew to Vegas.
Preston and Jazmyne are here visiting.
We had a blue heron eat some of my fish this morning, ugh.
We're still in the 80's in the day. Thre night get down in thre 50's but even with the windows open it's not very cool.
I think I'll make tacos tonight..... but maybe you all will have better ideas and I'll change my mind. LOL
So what are you going to make tonight?

Thanks Tina, for setting our table today.
What fish was the Blue Heron stealing?
I was all set to make spaghetti tonight, but neighbor brought us Rotisserie chicken. ( it's Hot). I set it on the counter and we will have cold chicken and salad tonight. What a nice neighborhood!
I finished assembly on Sew Along Quilt Top.
Folding it until I can buy fabric for a back for it.
I will post a picture later.
Need to start working on my SS gift next.
You all have a good day. Glad DH is feeling better now.
Jana, saying prayers for you are Michael. What an ordeal for you both.
Hugs all around

Velda, it took big goldfish, they're about 8 to 14" long now. I have no koi left from thre blue herons. They kill turtles too, I do not like those birds.

Oh what a beautiful quilt! You did a great job!!!

Good afternoon!

My DDIL just dropped off homemade chicken noodle soup and homemade yummy cornbread for our dinner tonight. She is a great cook.

I just got home and my COVID test is done and I am negative. The Dr's have the sepsis under control. They have also decided that no pneumonia, just Covid. He is on a high concentration of oxygen and when they do send him home, he will be on oxygen here for awhile. He might be back here to me on the weekend. It's a wait and see, be patient. I have some patience, but this is starting to stretch it thin.

That's my latest. Thank you does not go far enough for your concern and prayers.

Tina - so sorry at the loss of you koi. We don't have blue herons here, just the odd assortment of coyotes and mountain lions. They don't like getting their paws wet.

Vel - the quilt is beautiful! Hope you're continuing getting well.

Hugs and prayers,
Jana

Tina, glad you explained about the gold fish. We have Herons by the Lake. Never saw any in town. Not sure many people have back yard ponds, because of the harsh winters. Either you bring them inside for winter, or you need special set up for bubblers, heaters, etc. Way to much maintenance for average homeowners here in Illinois. I know there are some enthusiasts though.
Got a start on my SS project. Will do a bit more tomorrow. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Now who could this be for???? Hmm... I won't even give a hint. LOL

Jana, we that's good news that you don't have Covid. Hopefully Michael will get better and back home soon.

Tina, bummer about the fish. We used to have cats take the fish out of the pond when I was a kid.

Becca, a haircut always makes you feel better.

Vel, that is really pretty.

Our weather is unseasonably cool. We even had rain on Monday and it's supposed to rain again Friday. This is high fire danger season, so we are grateful for the cooler weather. SoCal has been lucky not to get too many fires this year, unlike NorCal.

For dinner we will be having baked potatoes with leftover chili on top.

Have a lovely evening.

Vel - Enjoy the chicken! You live in a wonderful neighborhood! Very pretty quilt!

Tina - Sorry about the Koi!

Becca - I agree a haircut makes you feel good.

Lori - Yes, it was quite a storm on Monday afternoon/evening! Thunder, Lightening, wind and rain all contributed to loss of electricity just long enough to knock off the computers and internet. No long term damage though.

Jana - So sorry Michael has Covid! Just what you were trying so hard to prevent. Glad you do not have it. BTW the weather will be sunny all next week in the high 70's. (If I haven't told you pass along that the Pixar/Micky & Friends parking structure do not have trams running and you must walk to and from the park.)

Tonight was a bit of leftovers for both of us. I froze the remainder of last night's Autumn Soup to enjoy another day.
