Supper club. Tues, Nov 24

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Nov 24, 2020 5:17 am

Good morning,

Today is my sis’s birthday. I brought cake mix & frosting along so i will be making a cake (white / choc frosting) later this morning. I’ve come to learn just since we got here that she doesn’t really like cake. But I do!! As long as it’s white! Yesterday I did 5 or 6 loads of wash. Carried each load back and forth to laundry room. Plus 3 extra trips to check on things and do extra drying on some damp items. Each trip was 1/4 mi RT. What a workout!! I also changed sheets, straightened cupboards, polished all woodwork, countertops, vacumned, swept, and mopped on hands and knees because I forgot my Swiffer. Today i will do the bathroom and bedroom. And get out everything we brought for Autumn and straighten the storage bins. After we get all that done maybe my sewing machine will come out... and my computer! I’m still laboring on my phone.

Carol, it sounds like your boysen berries take over like our blackberries. They are very invasive and difficult to get rid of. Glad to hear Your kitty is settling in. Maybe her running is part of her playing. She has probably been in a cage most of her life and is loving her freedom to be able to run around. Will she be strictly indoor cat or both?

Becca, thanks for the report on the twins. They are such strong little soldiers! Prayers for them are ongoing.

Jana, such a good citizen you are! In WA it’s a serious crime to not tie down any load - SECURELY. Ever since a 2x4 escaped a truck and went thru the windshield of vehicle behind. Left the badly injured driver blind for life. Good to hear Sarah’s tests were negative. Odd they didn’t start out with The least invasive test, given the family history of gallbladder issues. Now the wait begins for your new furniture. It wont be long. Birthdays always come up fast!

Lori, we did end up with grey carpet in our bedroom after all. Smart strand, kind of shaggy, with sort of salt and pepper shades. This piece had been ordered by someone else and then rejected. We got it for store’s cost. Turned out we love it! Better than beige in the upstairs of the house.

I haven’t given much thought about tonight’s supper. Maybe share with sis since it’s her bd.

And you?

Hi Everyone,
Yes, our cat will be an indoor cat, especially when I found out that one of the neighbors is feeding a coyote in the mistaken belief that it will keep it from consuming pets. What was that Jana, "you can't fix stupid"? You're right!

Maryz - Sounds like you accomplished a lot yesterday. Your brother has been so loyal. Letting go is very hard.

Jana - Hope Sarah's problem is found and it is her gall bladder so it can be removed and she can recover.

Becca - Glad everything is working out with Thanksgiving.

Tina - Sorry your Dad is having so many problems. You are a very good daughter.

Tonight's dinner will be chicken with a mustard glaze roasted in the oven. (A one sheet pan dinner.)

Carol

Carol, that's something I say almost everyday. You can't fix it. Who in their right mind thinks it's smart to feed a coyote?

Jana, you have been busy shopping and redecorating. I bet everything is going to look just perfect when you get it.

I finished up the cat swap quilt yesterday. I'll tidy up the sewing room and see what else I can get into.

We'll probably have a late lunch today, as DH is playing golf this morning. So no supper tonight.

Have a lovely day.
