Supper Club. Wed, Nov 18
Good morning!
Short travel day yesterday - about 150 miles. We stopped in Casa Grande for groceries at Fry’s, a Kroger store. What a madhouse! We practically bathed in sanitizer when we came out. This morning we’re going into Tucson to Costco to get the rest of our list. This should hold us for quite a while except for bread & milk. Doing our best to stay out of stores as much as possible.
We will spend another night here. It’s such a special place. But it will be 90’ again so hard to enjoy it outside until it starts to cool off in the late afternoon.
Jana, I was getting ready to ask if Stu made it to Nampa. He will do great! And it will be a good growing experience for him. Did you ever get Minnie all quilted and bound?
Becca, will you go to TG at Beth’s or stay home this year?
Lori, i remember now you told me Trader Joe’s for your orange chix a long time back. We have 2 Trader Joe’s at home one is 30 miles north of us near Bremerton and the other is 15 miles east in Tacoma, with a five dollar toll bridge to get to it. So I think I got a recipe on line and used frozen popcorn chicken.
Chickie, you’ve been busy. I like stacking wood. Being a loggers daughter, there was always wood to stack at our house growing up. Bet those quilts are adorable. With your carpal tunnel flaring this might be the time to learn to bind by machine. Once you do, you’ll never want to do it by hand again.
Our supper tonight will be grilled hamburgers and corn on the cob.
What’s your kitchen story for tonight?

Good morning!
I'm sliding in to my chair early this morning before I get started for the day. My days seem so busy lately.
Mary, we're going to hit 79° today, I'm seriously ready for cooler temps, this is just crazy! We need some moisture too, so if you could drag any along behind you I'd appreciate it
Our state is so shut down, I feel so bad for the small businesses. I did see on the news the other night that we are actually the only state shut down this much. They said it was so our health care doesn't get overwhelmed.
All my kids are going to be off and at their homes starting Thursday evening, sooooo they will be quarantined for a week before Thanksgiving.
I've almost got my sewing room put back together, I had a case of bad indigestion or something that had acid so bad that I couldn't do anything for 2 days. I'm on a cereal diet at the moment, it really helps. Maybe today will be the last little bit.
I have brisket thawed that I have to cook and I'll make cole slaw and maybe potato salad but I may still have cereal tonight and Frankie can have brisket.

Good morning!
Warm and cloudy here. We battened down everything as the wind is blowing very hard. Woke me up several times throughout the night.
We got news that my nephew, Sandee's brother more than likely has Covid. He was injured and disabled totally in a accident at work, 20 years ago. This caused him to be on oxygen ever since. He was exposed via his wife who has tested positive from where she worked. A care center. It was a second job to help make ends meet and was her last day, when she found she was positive. My nephew has many additional problems which will make him a candidate for a ventilator. We had hoped that he would not be one, but that didn't happen.
Mary - your travel worries are just the same reason we worry about Daniel traveling here. Hope you get in and out quickly!
Tina - did your LA arrive?
Becca - we have a small turkey to do here for us. Aaron got a small one too he will be cooking.
Dinner - I will do baked chicken with a veggie. Simple, easy and quick.
Heading to go sew,
Stay Safe,
Hugs,
Jana

Jana, I pray your nephew just has a mild case and doesn't need the ventilator and for a speedy recovery

No LA yet and they are now closed until the 30th. Our governor closed all non essential businesses down and apparently they fall into the non essential. I think they're essential! I'm not sure if he will do the deliveries during that time or not. To me it's safer for delivery during their shut down time because they won't be around anyone else. We'll see.
