Re: interest in a new quilt block swap
For me I would LOVE a multitude of different colors. Like a Rainbow.
WOW sounds like a wonderful idea for a Lotto month next year if I can remember
Cupcake I LOVE your idea!!! I have 2 quilts I need to finish for others. 1 for Thanksgiving and 1 for Christmas and they are both mailers so I need to stay on my game. Eager to see for sure. I can do it in the new year but not right now

It would be fun, wouldn't it Teresa!?!
I quite fancy 'Scrappy'...
I think Cupcake is thinking of the new year for the swap... When everything has calmed down a bit...

well if their are 12 participants then you make 12 9 patch 12.5 blocks mailed in by certain date. You will receive 12 blocks back have you ever been in a swap.
Pretty simple block this one makes a lovely Irish chain.

This sounds like a fun one. Easy to make. Looking forward to it in the coming year.

Cupcake, I just had a look at the following youtube link for the Irish chain pattern...
2 x 9 patch blocks, plus 2 x 6.5" plain blocks would make a very pretty and easy 12.5" block...

All colors would be great. Maybe we could each pick a color to do and then we could get one of each color.

Re: interest in a new quilt block swap
I haven't done a swap in a long time. This one sounds lovely. I hope we keep it scrappy. I might be interested. I will wait for the official rules and sign up before I say "yes".

I agree Velda. It would be lovely seeing you do a swap or joining the Monthly Lotto again.
Jacquie. Not sure how this would would work. You could get back your color block but not everyone would be making your color choice so in essence if everyone chose a color of their. Voice we would get back a rainbow of colors.
*** I DO LOVE the scrappy look though
Valerie I love your idea and it would work if we all made an extra Purple/Cream block for Cupcake as she did make a plea for purple blocks. This way everyone is happy and she would have no trouble having pals join. I would choose Red. Just a thought.
Personally I would LOVE a rainbow quilt plus make an extra purple 12.5โ block for Cupcake Win Win for all.
These blocks would be stitched using 4.5โ cut blocks sewn together to make a 12.5โ block. Yes? or would we be making 4 - 6.5โ block to be stitched together when we get all the blocks back????
Cupcake. We await your decision
