Wow! Yesterday was a scorcher by PNW standards. We were 97* at our house. We average 3 days a summer at 90*+. And the news says this was our third. By 3:30 we had the house closed up and retired downstairs to the family room where it was only 72*. But before that, I got my Spring quilt almost quilted, got a couple of things organized in my sewing room, and finally took my pantry inventory in the trailer. My sister and I talked and planned meals for our Yellowstone trip, and looks like things are all a 'go' there. Except we'll have to travel over Labor Day weekend, something we try never to do. Our return trip won't be so bad as it will be later in Sept.
Today my goal is to finish my quilt and get another one loaded. Also to sew my cut binding strips together to make bindings for all these tops I'm working on. If there are more berries ripe, I'll pick and freeze them. My freezer will be over-stocked so I'll give some to my sister when she gets here with her trailer (and freezer).
Our Across-the-road neighbors, Joe & Lori, were out yesterday and saw Vicki walking along the road. She gave them a double "salute" with those overused fingers, called them a name QIAD would never let me print here, and yelled at them that she had restraining orders out on "all of you". V's family hasn't given up, but they are having to start over again from scratch. They are so discouraged. This really isn't going to end well for Vicki.
BECCA - I would love to see your yo-yo table runner from your mom! I'm looking for good ideas before I commit to one to use up the last of my yo-yo's. The news showed a lot of students returning to college and the parties were starting. The health officials are expecting a big spike in infections because of it.

JANA - so happy your special supper was - well - special! And I can't believe little Gracie is already kindergarten age! I think if I had a child in any grade right now I'd not be willing to risk them in school. I'd be home-schooling them myself. What a challenge it is! But I'd do it! I know Sarah and Sandee got this for your little ones! Glad the trailer connections got figured out and settled. How is Stu doing these days?
IRISH - I know Kathy went home yesterday and you and Baby Girl are back to normal now. What's on tap today? A big ole' nap?!

As for our supper tonite - I think I will make a one pan dish of leftover rice, sliced turkey kielbasa, green onions, mushrooms, and whatever else I can find to toss in. With a salad on the side.
What's for supper at your house?
