SUPPER CLUB - Wed, June 3rd

Good morning!

Bill and I realized yesterday that we leave Thursday, not Friday, for our 2-1/2 weeks of camping! And here I was just putzing along doing a chore here, packing a thing there. So now we are double-timing it. He has sprinkling system with timers to set up, the roof to blow off and then the cement part of the driveway and parking pad to also blow off. When you live in woods, you get a lot of tree debris on you. He has truck things to do, trailer things to do. I have packing, laundry and house ugh-lies. Most of the list is crossed off now. This morning I have a mammogram and chiro appt. He also has chiro but our furniture is going to be delivered between 9 and noon, so he will have to stay here and go to chiro this afternoon instead. Happy they are so flexible. I don't even remember what our furniture looks like! lol! So you are getting an idea of what our day here is looking like.

TINA - so happy to see you at the table! Your poor kitty. I hope she's going to be OK. I've broken a tooth before. It's no fun.

IRISH - If Kathy and Tim ever go wine-tasting in WA, and if they'd like a short list of our favorite wineries, let me know. We've been to a lot of them and some are wonderful and some are - well - not as wonderful. Though everyone's tastes differ. Nice to be able to make your yard your own! We'll be needing some photos when you are all done.

JANA - that is no "quick trip" to Idaho you have planned! But it will be a fun one. Hope you find all you are looking for and more besides.

BECCA - I think you HAVE a full time gardener - YOU! We have thought about hiring a guy to do some of the harder seasonal work here - a couple times a year. But I'm shrinking the yard and so far I can still handle it.

We have enough pasta left for one more night, but I'm not sure I can handle it 3 nights in a row. We'll see come 6pm. We may just do the Subway thing. I have enough salad makings for one more evening, so salad is a given.

Happy Suppertime!

Good late morning from sunny, warm, SW. Pa...Our "good" weather is returning and my plants are loving it....But, we are to get a nasty thunder storm later......Oh well, we do need wet every once in awhile....

Mary, I can vision you jumping from 1 ugly to the next and then to get new furniture, sounds like a good day.....And I'm sure Kathy would love to have the list of wine tasting...They do belong to 2 in Napa and love to go to the Castle....I also love going, good wine and the fellow who serves is a regular hunk, comes from Italy, calls me Mamma and gives great hugs....I think Kathy did say, they might head for home on Thursday but just not sure which route they'll take....Every time I think about her "now" life compared to those ugly years, it just makes my heart happy....

I'm sure we'll be hearing from the rest...I really do need to get outside and take care of my humming birds and fill a planter I got yesterday.....I saw a red hydrangea yesterday but didn't have a cart and wasn't traipsing through the store to get one...But it was way too heavy for me to carry so I left it there...I hated leaving and just might have to go back today to retrieve it...See why I shouldn't be allowed near any place that sells plants etc.

As for my dinner, it has to be easy going down...Not sure why but tummy is giving me fits this morning...So, maybe a poached egg and a cup of tea....

You all have a great day.....

Happy eating.............

Good morning!

A wonderful day here in Paradise! A bit of cloud cover, which keeps our temps in a very nice range.

Not much here. Aaron is on alert, while on duty right now. Rumbles of protestors. He gets off work in a couple of hours, earlier than normal, due to overtime limits. They are heading to St George to visit Kate's mom for a couple of days.

I am gathering some handwork projects to keep me busy tomorrow. Due to rules, I am not allowed in the hospital. A blessing, as it only exposes one of us. I can park in a covered parking garage and stay cool. Michael will call when they release him and I will drive up to the door and pick him up. Hopefully all of this will be about 2 hours. With all the problems in downtown, I do know many other ways in and out of SLC. Then home!

My dinner is unknown, but will be simple. Maybe real live mac and cheese. After we are home tomorrow, I will go and get my grocery order from the drive thru pickup. I have a goodie ordered for me. A ooey, gooey, chocolate eclair. Probably my dinner for tomorrow night.

Mary - those dates sneak up quickly! But as we all know, you are the Energizer Bunny and will be ready long before tomorrow. Enjoy the time out in the beautiful outdoors. You will love all the new furniture!

Irish - you and Sarah could get in so much trouble with plants! Sarah is redoing part of her yard landscaping, and the company she works for is paying a landscaper to do it for her. Oh, the perks of working for a huge sod company! Not to say, how much they love her as well. Any red flowering plant, jumps in my cart for my yard!

Well, need to get going,
Hugs,
Jana
