Good morning,
Today's the day! All our preparations are on deck! Are you ready? Yesterday I got all my Scrappy Stars finished and started sashing them together. I read the pattern wrong and so accidentally trimmed the first block to 11" instead of 11-1/2". Actually, the pattern was WRITTEN wrong (in my opinion). I'm used to patterns giving the UNFINISHED block size instead of the FINISHED size. So I tried adding wider sashing for that one block. It shows a little bit, and I'm not happy so I'm considering doing some frogging and remaking the block. I may get a little more time late today to cut more sashing pieces.
This morning Bill and I will do gifts for each other, then go to friends for brunch. I expect we'll be home around 3pm, tired and ready to relax. We might build a fire and watch another Christmas movie. Dinner will be ham and baked sweet potatoes. I was going to make a salad but we saw on the news last night that there is another romaine recall of lettuce from Salinas, CA, so guess we'll have green beans instead. And we have ice cream for dessert if we wish.

Waiting on Lila and Gracie to arrive. Santa so needs Rudolph here this morning. Snowing and very foggy. We got our white Christmas.
Dinner was very yummy and I have leftovers for our dinner tonight. The kids will all be with inlaws or at their homes today. Little Lila loves her food and had a popover in her hand, munching away on it. She snitched it after dinner. It was time to do the family tradition of opening our Christmas Pie gift. Lila's turn, so her mom, reached and took the popover out of her hand, so Lila could unwrap her toy. Oh the dirty look she gave her mom! Forget the toy, give me back my food! I had a Smudge, one of Sarah's kitties sprawled in my lap most of the night. He loves to snuggle, so I was good with that. He is a character and a half!

Mary, that quilt sounds like a headache.
I think I would have put it in a bag in the closet. Hopefully with your magic you can make it come out right.

We went to the kids last night for dinner and gift exchange. Then played a few games. Tonight we will have homemade lasagna and salad for dinner. We have plenty of goodies for dessert.
