Aunt Jody's Fidget Quilt

Post by gershwin64 » Sat Sep 28, 2019 6:09 am

I made this for Frankie's aunt, her kids put her in an assisted living facility and it's been really hard on her adjusting to being in there. She's 92 and was born in the house that she was still living in. We try to go visit her at least once a week, I'd go more often if I were driving....hopefully I'll be driving again soon.
Thanks for looking

So many textures to keep one's fingers busy. Such a wonderful gift for a dear Aunt.

Very nice Tina! That should give her hands something to do. I made my Mom an activity mat, about the size of a placemat, a few years ago. She seemed to enjoy it. Sadly now her hands are clinched tight and usually holding the front of her shirt .

How wonderful you are to visit her with LOVELY Fidget Quilts. I am always fidgeting so I can imagine she loves them. I hope she has made a couple of friends by now. 92 is a scary age. I am happy to hear she is not alone.

Oh very nice and feminine. I have always wanted to try one of these. They are so helpful with some Dementia patients. More nursing homes should use these I think.
