Today is carpet day. Hooray! But even better news is we got our new toilet installed yesterday. And it works great!
We also got our old clawfoot tub positioned, leveled, and hooked back up (no easy task!). Plus I did a little yard work and a little sewing. A productive day. I have noticed something this week that I'm sorry to report - leaves are starting to fall. And they seem like fall leaves, not just dry weather leaves. Not ready for this yet.Today, while the carpets are being installed, I'll be washing sheets and drying them on the lines, doing a little more yard work, and hopefully, a lot more sewing! And I might make some cookies for the carpet layers. I always like to offer coffee and a baked goodie when we have work-folks here. Maybe oatmeal craisin as they are Bill's favorite and so I won't eat as many. My fave is chocolate chip with walnuts if case anyone needs to know.
JANA - your wallhangings sound so pretty. Would small rick rack work for your green twisty vines? Or simply decorative or satin stitching? Both are more durable than yarn. And yes, we are staying home this winter. I haven't had enough home time yet this year.
BECCA - good reports on the twins! Praying they keep up their progress. I assume they are still on ventilators . . . About 24 years ago my sister worked with a woman who had quintuplets (5!!) and not one of those babies was on the vent! Incredible! I believe they were 28-weekers. So if you and CA just celebrated your 80th birthdays, and you've been married for 63 years, you two were awfully young when you tied the knot! I think it just might work out!
Last night's supper was a creamy sauce with meatballs over tri-color bow-tie pasta. I think it passed the DH test, which is good because we have enough for tonite, too. Though I'll cook more pasta of some kind. Or maybe rice . . . And a salad.
