Here's the Theme!
"Fun in the sewing room" and/or "You can never have too much/too many....."
Let's decorate our sewing rooms!
You can make your Elf something to decorate their space...
example: small wall hanging, a fabric basket to hold FQ's or squares, a pin cushion, thread catcher.... pretty much anything that will decorate a sewing room and make your Elf smile when ever she uses it! For a wall hanging, use your imagination and check out your Elf's hints for colors. (I'm going to up date the HINTS page soon too, I promise) The wall hanging doesn't have to be applique, for those of you that don't love applique as much as I do
Even a mini quilt block will do! I have a PERFECT spot in my sewing room for a 12x12 square LOL. Part 2 is my theory that you can never have too much/too many things like:
Straight pins
safety pins
binder clips
fabric, of course
tape measures
seam rippers (now where did I leave it!?)
you get the idea... notions etc.
Here's how it works for those that haven't participated in the past....
You are the Santa, the person whose name you have is the ELF.
Deadline to sign up is September 6th. Names will be drawn and PM'd to you on/about September 13-14-15.
You MUST mail to your Elf by NOVEMBER 22. Priority mail Flat rate packages are great, but even a medium box is $14 something to mail, so as you put your gift together consider the cost of postage as well. We don't have to go CRAZY here, but I know it's hard NOT to!
Opening week will begin December 9th
As with any swap.. COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!!! If you sign up, I expect that you honor your commitment, BUT I'm also quite aware that "stuff" happens and even with the best intentions, someone may not be able to follow through. PLEASE contact me ASAP if that should occur.
Once names are drawn, I will mail you each a little card with your SS name and address. On the back of the card will be my home phone, my cell phone and my regular e-mail address. SO there really should be NO excuse for not contacting me. (If you call my house phone and I don't answer--leave a message--I get so many junk phone calls!)
We had a GREAT year last year with no hiccups, and I'd sure like to see this year go as smoothly!
