SUPPER CLUB - Monday, July 15th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Jul 14, 2019 11:35 pm

Good morning!

Well, I forgot to give myself the day off yesterday and ended up finishing the trailer cleaning. Now all I have to do is make the bed and mop the floor, always the last two things. Bill still has to unpack his leftover clean clothes and clean out the storage bins, MY stuff will be done! We don't want to talk about the outside. When you come off the Alaska Highway, the dirt is kind of a badge to be proud of.

Today I hope to get into the chiropractor, then pick up a few trailer restocking supplies, and pick up the mail. I might pull a few weeds - the yard is a jungle! - Or I might not. The house needs a good cleaning, too. Might not do that either! lol!

IRISH - I saw the picture of Jackie and Kathy on FB. So pretty! I bet if you'd been in the photo it would have put it over the top! Looked like a purrfect [;o) ] wedding!

VELDA - lol! Yes, I'm no gardener but I do know that about hydrangeas. And like babies (or at least like babies used to be), unless you know your soil content, you never know if you're going to get a 'boy' or a 'girl'. Or a white one, but I don't want to confuse myself with THAT! lol! I would think that 'helper' would go great with turkey as well as chicken. They are sort of almost the same thing.

JANA - if Michael ran his RR through your sewing area, he would have picked it up the first time you dragged a quilt through is tracks! lol! Must be fun at your house! Badmitten! The kids will love it!

BECCA - chicken and noodles sounds good! and you just reminded me that I have broth and veggies already cooked and in the freezer, just waiting for the chicken and noodles, so I think I'll make soup for tomorrow tonite. ..

But for tonite, we have the last of our spaghetti, so I think that will be on our menu. With a salad. We went so long without salads that I"m green-hungry. Depending on what's going on in the agricultural world, you can get fresh fruits/veggies/meats taken away at the border so we kept our fridge and freezer contents low. Also, it's pretty expensive in AK. So bring on the salads!

Good morning!

I thought I had the little girls today, but it will be tomorrow. Lila is a funny little girl. When she came in last night, she saw Scott and stopped dead in her tracks, would not move one more inch and just stared at him. Later on, she was sitting in his lap. Especially if you had a cellphone! She also mooched cake off of Grandpa. Grandpa was not quick enough with removing his fingers as he shared a piece of cake with her, she munched down on his finger as well as the cake.

Today I have a few errands to run and then sew. I think a rack of baby back ribs will jump in my cart for dinner tonight. I will make two small potato salads as well. Michael loves his filled with goodies, pickles, celery, onions, eggs, olives and no mustard. Mine is plain, eggs, potatoes, mayo and mustard with celery salt as the seasoning.

Enjoy!
