Supper club, July 1 to come up Monday
Good morning
I got to sew yesterday! Outside on the picnic table until it got too smoky. Then moved inside. Then we went grocery shopping so we can make dinner tonight for Bill’s nephew and his wife. Then we visited with the neighbors for a bit. They are in a rental rig and have to turn it in this morning and they brought armloads of food and household supplies over and gave to us. At least $60 worth, maybe more. Today will be laundry in Wasilla-10 miles away. The closest laundromat And then I hope more sewing until Bill’s. Nephew arrives in camp. We’re meeting my nephew tomorrow for breakfast and Bills nephew will go on down the road.
We had visitors in camp yesterday-two other shelties. One was a twin to Scotty but just smaller. His name was Merlin. We got to talking and found out that Merlin’s mother came from the same kennel where Scotty was hatched. I’m thinking uncle Scotty? They had same facial expressions and mannerisms .
Chickie, I sure feel for you with your upcoming assignment. I hope you get some breaks. Or BlackBerries won’t be gone for about two or three more weeks at home. Corn and peaches is end of August and September. When your Stint with mom is done, you can take a vacation, come to my house, and can everything you want!
Becca, is your back still improving? Is this a chronic condition or something new? Do you know what precipitated this bout of pain?
Irish, what day is the wedding? And where will it be in relation to you? In your town or?
Jana, if everyone is going camping this week, your household will be quieter than usual. I know you will be making the most of your time!
Supper is going into the crockpot as soon as I get my shower taken. A recipe Bill found on Facebook. Chicken, fiesta Ranch mix, corn, black beans, rotelle tomatoes, and a brick of cream cheese added the last half hour of cooking. How bad can it be? I even had most of the ingredients! I will serve it with rice and a salad. Bill‘s nephews wife is a pescatarian Though so she won’t be partaking. That was a new word for us and we had to ask if it was a typo. Nephew, Nate, said no, it means she doesn’t eat meat but she does eat f—-. We told her she was coming to the wrong camp! LOL !

Re: Supper club, July 1 to come up Monday
Good morning!
It is going to be a hot one today. Almost 80 now and it is not even 10 am!
I have the kitchen straightened up and laundry going. Down to last two loads. I skipped doing laundry last week, so we were getting desparate! LOL! We are fine now.
I have been downloading a free BOM from Fat Cat patterns - Hen Party - whimiscal chickens. Dawned on me what to use for a background fabric for all the blocks - chicken wire print - I used it on my roosters I did a couple of years ago. They still have it, so will check and see how much yardage I need. Maybe the backing fabric too. Humm... Can you say SQUIRREL! I am so good at that - must be a talent of mine!
I have given up on planning dinner around here. Last night, I put off the ribs as we were not hungry, then Kate, Aaron and the girls stopped by. They were out of food and so I quick made banned noodle cassarole. We now have leftovers, but they may be gone by lunch. They had put off grocery shopping because they were in St George for a few days. Kate's sister didn't win and Kate said after that she was being a total brat to everyone. Not a surprise to us. That sister was going to stay with them and finish up working, but that is now off, as she is just quitting with no notice. No, this isn't the bridezilla sister, this is the younger sister. I think that not staying with my kids is a blessing in disguise!
Well, laundry needs to be attended too,
Enjoy,
Jana

Re: Supper club, July 1 to come up Monday
Good late morning from a glorious sunny, warm, SW. Pa...It is downright heavenly...
Mary, sounds like you had a full day, yesterday....Isn't that ironic to meet up with other Shelties and find out they're probably related......What are the odds???And what nice neighbors to share their "left overs"...Campers do seem to be special people....
Our wedding is on the 13th and is on the other side of the state, near Allentown...Kathy and Tim are coming on Sat. (another trip to the airport) and then she'd like to show him some of her old camping spots in this part of the state and also take him to Fallingwater, one of Frank Lloyd Wright's homes, probably on Monday and Tuesday...Then we might head for Cari's and then to Allentown...My sister is going with us and I just told her to pack her bag and be ready...I'm not even sure who all is driving, but imagine Dan will be wanting to take his new car, just to turn it loose on the turnpike...Will be a new experience for all of us and I'm sure Dan and Casey will get some ideas for (hopefully) their future wedding....
Chickie, will be thinking of you...It's tough being a caregiver, long, long hours but very satisfying hours....Thinking back, with my Mom and then with Jim, wouldn't have changed it for the world and wish there had been more....
Becca, sure hope and pray that back is feeling better....Isn't this the big party coming up, this weekend? I still think, porch sitting is the best medicine, I know it sure helps me, lol.....
This afternoon is going to be outside stuff but now I'm layering this lion quilt...My sister gave me a couple pair of pants she needed altered so got that taken care of this morning....My buddy Scout came for his vacation...Poor Scout is growing old and does have a hard time getting up and down so we don't do steps or long walks...He's quite content to just take it easy and wait for Grammy to give him treats..(takes after me in the "take it easy part)....
Terry got my power washer going so this afternoon, look out! Along with planting more marigolds, should take up most of the rest of the day.....
As for dinner, I have a small pork loin in the crock pot and I'm going to throw in some sauerkraut and maybe a hot dog or 2...That will last me a couple of days.....
You all have a great day.....
Happy eating..............

Hello everyone,hot here with sun.

My back started from sitting in chair at Hospital when CA had his first stroke.Since then it has gotten worse & with my yard work it did it in.I cut Mtn Laurel & Drug brush to woods.Plus trimming shrubs. No more I learned my lesson the hard way.Its Getting better slowly.Just staying inside & porch sitting when I can.Denise & Mark are coming to finish the shrubs. The other time it rained.
Irish yes the party is Saturday. So That’s why I’m trying to take it easy.I love that your Sister can do things with you.
Jana Know the kids will have fun camping. We Sure did with ours & before CA got sick.I loved camping because I love the outdoors.

Oh the fun at this house!
While we were working with our financial guy - more paperwork, someone walked in the house, used the toilet, flushed same and then left. We heard a child's voice and thought that it was Sarah and Ethan - so I called her - no - she was still at home and hadn't left to come here yet. OK - maybe Kate, as Aaron is still at work - so Sarah sent out a group family text to see who it was - Matt answered - not him - Aaron - not him and not Kate and the girls. So that left Crenda, with the kids , who happen to have a lawn mowing company that has a yard out by us they mow on Mondays. Mystery solved - it was our Logan. We are having a good laugh. Scott across the street, was thinking ghosts, or maybe his escape artist teacup poodle, Spiky, came over. Even thought that the neighbor kids got mixed up and came in. Then Matt remembered the elephant that lived at the house in Concord, that when any water appeared on the floor, it was the elephant that lived under the house did it. Still having a good snicker!
Yes, we are getting a Ring type doorbell - eventually, but for now, good laughs!
