SUPPER CLUB - Mother's Day - May 12
Good morning,
The owl was back and Scottie has been barking since 3:30. I've always thought it cruel to have a dog de-barked but early this morning, I've been considering doing it myself!
Yesterday was 80+ degrees here. I got 4 loads of wash on the lines. They smelled so fresh when I took them down! Mmmmmmm... Also, got in a few hours of sewing and then to Costco to order my new Rx sunglasses. Come happy hour time we lounged on the deck, watched the Tv news, and then had supper out there (when was soup made from leftover swiss steak.) A great day!
All the uglies are caught up, we have no company, and no plans. so I'm thinking I'll get to play in my room with my toys today! yay! I'm still working on my Fox panel, turning it into a quilt.
JANA - you said your Batt Bath is almost done but the plumbing? Isn't the plumbing sort of the crown jewel of any bathroom? Your Sarah is very busy! Will she be back so you can see her today? And Daniel & Co left yesterday? How long a drive is it for them?
LORI - The Something Modern Quilt - is that the one that was bright solids on black? I'm curious to see what your new border will be. And what herbs do you use in your meatballs? I'm curious about that, too. I'm always looking to spark up my usual cooking.
BECCA - Now how did one of your DGS's get to Brooklyn?? I've seen Brooklyn and I've seen NC. No contest there! NC would win MY vote any day!
I'm wishing you all a Happy Mother's Day today! I hope your day is exactly what you would wish it to be. and if it can't be that, then let Plan B fall into place! A special Mother's Day hug to Irish!
Supper here will be pork chops and baked potatoes on the grill with a salad on the side. We have a little bit of cake left for afters, but I'm not sure it will last until supper time! lol!
What's the plan at your house?

Mary, yes the black quilt with bright solids. The border is a bit complicated. I don't know why I just can do things the easy way.
In my meatballs I use whatever is in the garden. I always have oregano, chives, thyme, basil, and Italian parsley. I add garlic, parmesan cheese and an egg to bind it all. Sometime I'll add rosemary, but just a little. They are a little different every time.
I ended up making chili last night, because it's easier. Don't know what we will be having today.
Have a lovely mother's day ladies. Lori

Good morning!
The kids left about 2 hours ago. This will put them home around dinnertime. They will text me periodically as to where they are throughout the day.
Church is in a little while. During the Relief Society meeting time, they are doing a light lunch for us. That will be a treat.
Dinner - there are tons of leftovers to pick from.
Well, need to find a face in the drawer and remove the curlers, need to look presentable! Like that is possible! LOL!
Happy Mother's Day!
Enjoy,
Jana
