SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, March 12
Good morning!
Well, yesterday took an UGH-ly turn. I went into the kitchen for something I don't even remember now and saw a little mess. One thing led to another and before long I was perched up in my garden window, feet in the sink, cleaning shelves, dusty cookie jars, and washing the window. Then on to cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and floors. Then I thought - we're having a bunch of company on Thursday, first time since mid-October. I looked at all our wineglasses and decided they were pretty dusty, too, so I ended up handwashing and drying 2 dozen stemmed glasses. (don't worry! We're not using them ALL! but they ALL were dirty!) I didn't settle down until 2:30 in the afternoon! But the kitchen is clean! I did spend an hour in my sewing room working on Tea Party blocks before calling it a full day.
This morning we're taking our Camry into a place in Tacoma to have the brakes checked. My brother, Albert, is coming into town, will pick us up and we'll all go to breakfast. We haven't seen Al since October so it will be nice to visit.
TINA - how was the movie? I've never gone to a movie by myself. Actually, I'm not much of a movie fan. Too much of a time commitment, I guess. But I do like movies like Diehard, Lethal Weapon, Indiana Jones, Crocodile Dundee, and most comedies. And Christmas movies. Glad things are improving in Holly's family. NO MORE SICK.
BECCA - sorry you couldn't get out to have your labs drawn. That must have been a big limb to have prevented you from getting past it. When we were in Utah last Sept. a utility truck was in our yard (we saw it on our security cameras) to access the utility pole that serves our house and Vicki's. They knocked a limb loose, too, and left it hanging. Bill finally had to get the big extension ladder and take the chainsaw up and cut it down last week.
JANA - your new dining set sounds nice! It will seat a lot of family. I love the way you operate to get things you want! lol! You should give lessons!
CHICKIE - glad you got out to do some walking! I've been enjoying my morning walks, too, but not this morning! Heavy rain, plus we have to go to town (20 miles). But I always feel better getting out and moving! I actually have been to D.C. twice - once with my parents when I was 16 and again in 1992 when Bill was sent to a conference for 9 days. I'm sure we'll be visiting the kids while they are there and if they go to Europe later, we might go there, too. Bill can't wait. I love traveling the U.S. in our RV but I'm a white knuckle flyer so I'm never eager to get on an airplane.
Well, we had shredded BBQ pork sandwiches last night. There is a little left over and Bill might have that and I'll scramble an egg, or we'll just move on to pizza. One way or another that pizza is going to show up this week! lol!
What's showing up on your table tonite?

Good morning
)
Mary, the movie was awesome! I highly recommend the Marvel movies! I think there's 21 so far, I have them all except the one I saw yesterday. I'm a huge movie lover! I don't go very often by myself....probably less than 5 times my whole life but Frankie isn't a fan of my kids shows LOL and with all the kids being sickly I went alone....but as many people that were there I wasn't really alone ;o)
The only movies I don't like are scary and horror....can't do those! I actually watched one about 10 years ago, still have nightmares about it and creepy feelings...yucky.
I've been cleaning my Flickr account out of everything except pics I post here, finally got that job completed this morning. And I posted my Pouring Tea Pot to the Tea Party swap because of that
)
Today is the last of the laundry, taking care of the chickens, dogs, cats and working on my tea pot blocks....so far no cleaning and organizing has taken place in my sewing room....oh well. I want to get these blocks done first, if time is still available after then I'll clean, if not then it'll just have to happen another time.
I'm trying a new meal from Schwans for supper tonight, some kind of chinese chicken and fried rice, Dad is supposed to come over but he hasn't been for over a week because of all the sick kids here and his immune system is low right now so we'll see if he's ready to come over tonight.

Good morning!
Mary - now those glasses can be put to use!
I will readily admit that I am well spoiled! And loved too!
Not too much today. I need to double check if I have Ethan today and I know he will be here on Thursday. This weekend and next are the big concert dates for Sarah's musical group. All the performances are sold out. The tickets were gone within hours of being available. Sarah, her DH and Stu are all involved.
Dinner - we were out, so grabbed some chicken, so my banned will appear today.
Enjoy!

Good morning, at least while I’m starting this! We have had heavy rain, and water is standing everywhere. I need to go walk dogs in a few minutes. I guess I won’t be walking today, as the road will be too muddy. It’s hard to stay vertical when you are trying to keep your balance and make headway walking.
Mary—keep talking, but I can’t hear you. I do not have that cleaning gene! I ride a broom rather than sweep with it!--At least according to some people! Once in awhile I get a bee in my bonnet and clean, but it’s few and far between. Of course, I did the floors this morning before yoga. Have a fun day and visit with your brother!
Becca—we’ve had so much rain here that if we get high winds after the trees are leafed out, they may be easily uprooted.
Jana—that’s great that Sarah’s concerts all sold out! They are famous!!!
Tina—glad you enjoyed your movie! I’ve never seen any of the Marvel movies. I like your tea party block!
Dinner here—not sure. We have choices. Yesterday afternoon I made beef tortilla soup. It’s so delicious! I’m going to take a container of it with me tomorrow and see if Mom would like some for lunch. We won’t starve tonight, for sure, and I have choices for DH tomorrow while he is on his own. He even has choices for dry cereal when he comes back from coffee.
Bon appétit!

Hello everyone,sunny here & mid 60s.Of course that calls me outside.i got all the dandelions out of my flowers..Then put fresh mulch on bed.The flowers are all putting out.
Maryz That limb was as big as the tree almost.Oak.Our Neighbor sawed the middle out .Throwed limbs on side as usual.Levi come & throwed all the brush & tree trunk in woods.Dont know what we would do without him.Hes so much help to us.
The power Co should have finished their job.They left it hanging by a thread.it would have taken a tree Co to have cut & removed it.
Jana Your dining set sounds beautiful.With your big family it will be useful.
Tina Im not a movie fan either.Do love Christmas movies.I don’t do horror or scary either.I have nightmares too.
We have lots of leftovers.Spagetti,steak n gravy.So it will be take your pick. Becca
