Supper Club - Sat, March 9

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Mar 09, 2019 2:59 am

Good morning,

Well, I lied to you yesterday. I told you no snow - and 30 min later, we were in the beginning of a 5-hr snow storm! But we only got about an inch and most was gone by afternoon. I'm afraid to look out there this morning! lol!

Yesterday I got my laundry room cleaned and got rid of two boxes of stuff - extra vases, macrame plant hangers, old cleaning products, etc. I stood on my washer and got my upper torso squeezed way up in the corner above to clean webs, dust and wash walls. After that, I went and got a green streak put in my hair for St. Paddy's Day, hit Costco and Fred Meyer for groceries, and picked up our mail. Finally, I was able to settle into my sewing room for a little R&R. This morning, I'll be making a double batch of shamrock cookies to take to DD's tomorrow for brunch. She's invited the entire family and hinted that they have big news.

JANA - congratulations on your big win!! what was your trivia question that garnered you the grand prize? Have you settled on what you're going to spend it on? As for the bride, I predict this marriage is doomed because she seems to be ...uh... self-involved. My heart hurts for her poor father who, I suspect, is paying for a large portion of the wedding. How can your Kate and she be so different and still be sisters . . .

BECCA - seems like it's a constant chore keeping your road up to snuff! glad your family is able and willing to help with that. and your DGD sounds like an awesome young lady!

CHICKIE - I'm happy Mom is adjusting so well. Can she be left alone for any length of time? Your sister is lucky to have you for backup and respite. Will your other sister ever come and stay for a bit and take a turn? How far away is she? Your floors! I would be in prison serving a life sentence by now if they were mine!

The national news last night showed an Eagle's nest in Big Bear area of CA. They had just hatched one egg. Made me think of our Irish! She gives us much more info than ABC World News!

Supper tonite will be last night's default menu - ham, eggs, and fried potatoes. Since I hear we're getting yogurt and berries tomorrow for brunch we'll have our hearty breakfast food tonite!

Yum!

Good morning!

My Lila just woke up and Gracie is dancing to all the music on Beauty and the Beast. I haven't watched all these Princess movies in a very long time!

Michael, Ethan and Sarah are at the train show in Ogden this morning. So I am doing girl things, Grandpa the boy things!

Dinner - after this, out!

Mary - yes, we got the best of the sisters! Kate is not at all like the other three. Reggie, the bride, is the worst for being spoiled by her parents, especially her father, so most of this does not come as too much of a surprise. Yes, the bride's family is paying for it all! Just a side note, the bride we did the cake for was so grateful, she came several times to Sarah to say thank you. Even at our class on Thursday, the mom came over to me to say thank you. Such a difference, there is many more in this generation who are kind and grateful! There is hope for this next generation.

We did get snow yesterday and several avalances came down and closed several canyon roads. Aaron was called out early this morning. Over 70 crashes before 7 a.m.! More snow is expected today, later this afternoon. It is wet snow, lots of water in it, which we so need.

Enjoy!
Jana
