Re: March Lotto- - -Luck of the Irish-WINNERS
I finished five blocks and will be sending them soon.
Hint: I found this pattern to be very UN-forgiving. I ended up cutting my pieces 2 threads larger than called for and using scant seams. Still a very pretty block with a neat effect when several are put together.

Just to confirm...these should measure 12 1/2 inches?
Thanks,

I agree with MaryZ....I also found that you need a bit extra to get to the 12.5. I cut my squares at 7 inches as opposed to 6 5/8. You can cut them down if needed. But the 7 inches worked great for me.

Could not find the backing fabric I was thinking of. May have to go to Hobby Lobby on Monday.
Update 3/12 nothing at Hobby Lobby, will try quilt shop on Wed.
03/14 did find a few fabrics at Joann's (there is one about a mile from work which I go past when I go to pharmacy). Not sure I am totally in love with them but went to the quilt shop and found some there also. I will probably use a mixture of both.

Quilt In a Day has several backgrounds that would work. The one I used is by Kaufman. It is called ABC something. It is a white background with little green designs. If you search under white you will see it. The green Farm Girl Vintage (for the main fabric) is nice too. They have a similar one in the sale room.

I had to cut my blocks at 7 inches for them to measure at 12.5 inches. So happy I cut them larger based on the suggestions. I thought that I would have to cut them down but I didn’t at all. I finished 5 blocks last night!!

Mailed my blocks today from the self-serve kiosk. It did not give me the choice of tracking only certified mail and something else but it does say on my receipt delivery expected on Monday.
