SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Feb 21st

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Feb 21, 2019 2:44 am

Good morning!

We are shooting all the way up to 44* today with bright sunshine! Yay! I got Bill to agree to help start some yard clean-up. We still have all of last fall's leaves on most of the yard, then winter debris, and finally all the branches that came down in our snowstorm. Lots of raking and hauling stuff with the tractor. Guess what MY part is and guess what Bill's job will be. We might even get a little fire going to burn dry debris and to warm our hands. Yesterday we got the new tarps up over the RV. What a big job that is! But it's done. I had chiropractor yesterday and then a haircut. I got a little wild and spur of the moment had a blue/green streak put in my hair. Just a little one since my hair is short and curly. And Bill noticed almost immediately! Good Husband!

I might do a few uglies, too. Kitchen floor could use a swipe with the Swiffer and the dust downstairs is handy for leaving messages. ;o/. And I might do a little bit of sewing.

IRISH - yay for penguins!! Did I read correctly? You said that Jackie is going to be married at the zoo and have a penguin at the wedding? It must be a formal ceremony! We saw your airport on our news last night. I hope your snow is melted by the time you have to go pick up Kathy! Love the duckies in your sister's 'waterfront'. Our lake is our back yard. It slopes slightly away from the house. And we usually have real ducks out there in winter. I never knew that about eagles - the brood patch thing or turning the eggs. We learn something new here every day!

BECCA - so nice that your DGS not only is so willing to help you out with chores like the faucet, but has the ability! Your family is the best!

JANA - congrats to Sarah on their new RV. You KNOW you need to get more info, right? You're talking to an RV person here! Those bunk models are sure great for families. I never knew that about dew point 'snow'. More new information to stuff into my little brain! I learned a lot from all y'all yesterday!

CHICKIE texted that her mom is doing better now. Though the sewer backed up in Mom's house and made a bit of a mess so it made for a special day for her. So we probably don't want her texting details here where we 'eat' supper!

And speaking of supper, I might make a chicken/rice casserole. With salad or green beans on the side. What supper ideas are popping into your head for tonite?

Good morning :)
Awww how cute! Mary, are you taking the black and white one on the left? The orange kitty is different, we don't see very many of that color here....I think the coyotes get those fast, sad.
My day yesterday was filled with running back and forth to schools, ugh. I took Easton in the morning and me and Preston came back home as usual, then back to get Easton at 11:30 and when we get home the boys always get comfortable by taking shoes off, sometimes socks and on really warm days the pants come off LOL they eat lunch and then nap so no big deal. But yesterday Jazmyne's nurse from school called when we were eating so after we finished eating I had to get them ready to go outside in the cold again and keep them awake for the round trip drives, their naps were 1 1/2 hours later than usual. I was exhausted and then it was my turn to cook for Dad. I managed it all but I was sure tired. My legs have been keeping me awake for the past couple of nights so I'm a little tired.
I need to go read yesterday's post, I totally missed yesterday.
I'm not sure what's for supper, I'd like someone to cook for me for a change and clean up the kitchen.

Good early afternoon from a very sunny and melting the snow, in SW. Pa....Depending on which window I look out, it looks like spring, almost.....The sky is so blue and there again, almost spring like...Of course I'm not going to go out and play in the "mud" yet.....

Mary, yep, you made me do it, I ordered that the penguin pattern...AND, yep, Jackie is getting married at the Lehigh County Zoo on July 13 and there will be a penguin plus a few other animals at the wedding...She said, it's a very small zoo, no big cats or animals, but it's going to be perfect...I blame Kathy for the kid's love for zoos...She started taking them when they were babies and still, when traveling, they have to check out the zoo...
AND those fur babies are special and as I told you, thank goodness I don't live close by, I'd take all of them...

Tina, it's no wonder your legs are hurting...Mine are hurting just reading about all you do...It is time for someone to come and cook and clean up for you, for sure!

Jana, I'm like Mary, need to hear all about the new "home"...Even though I'm not a camper I do love to hear about the travels and adventures....Maybe in my next life I'll have a camper..Of course I had told Kathy's DH I was going to get a motor home and park either in his drive way or between the tomatoes in the back yard....
What are you up to today? Hope you aren't getting more snow.....

I was thinking of Joanne, from Ohio...Last night Survivor started and I know she had been a fan and wondered if she was watching....Also, loved to hear about her sitting on her front porch and watching the garbage men, especially in the summer when they wore shorts, lol.....Hope all is OK with her and Earl.....

Not real sure what's on my schedule...Might go back upstairs and do more in the bedroom, might go for a haircut, might do some sewing, might end up doing nothing.....So many possibilities......

And dinner, good question...Haven't eaten lunch so might not be any dinner.....If I do go for a hair cut, that means actually getting in the car so that also might mean, Ruby stopping someone where along the way....We'll see.......

You all have a great rest of the day....

Happy eating...........

Eagle Update:
One of the eaglets in the Ft. Myers nest has branched which means, flapped those wings and jumped/flew up to another branch..Even after they fledge, they will continue to stay on the nest and the parents will still bring food...But, the parents will also try to entice them to start hunting for their own food...The 1st year of an eagle's life is tough and so many don't survive...

Good morning!

OK - Sarah is looking at the double bunkhouse RV called the Outback by Keystone. It is the 23 foot model. Called the Outback because the kingsize bed, slides out the back. Punny! Simple and easy to haul around. They love to camp and go on hikes in the mountains. Ethan has hiked many miles in Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons and Yosemite. He loves the outdoors. Sarah wants a indoor potty, not a hole in the ground! LOL! So Sandee has the motor home, a big midsize one, Matt has the big fifth wheeel and Sarah will have this one. My Highlander is capable of hauling Sarah's RV. There are so many places here in Utah to camp and explore. So there you have it.

On the sad note, Kate's dad is declining very quickly. He is in the ER right now and they want to keep him in the hospital. The latest MRI showed the cancer has spread out of the brain and into the spine.

Me - just puttering around here, needing a run to my LQS for fusible.

Dinner is out tonight, we have class. Also we got more snow last night and more is called for tonight. The mountains are so pretty with their winter snow coats on.

Enjoy,
Jana

I'm back, I decided on just plain old burritos for supper, very simple. And I'm trying a crockpot recipe that Kevin gave me for rice pudding, it's been on since lunchtime. I'm looking more forward to the rice pudding than supper LOL
