Supper club. Tuesday, July 3

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Jul 03, 2018 4:11 am

Good morning!

If you see Eleanor or Chriss around today wish them a happy birthday!🎇🎆

Today we are going into Florence to the LQS there. And a Goodwill. Always fun to poke around in “foreign” stores. Then we’ll romp the beach with Scottie Dog before coming back to camp when I’ll help Annette with her fox appliqué quilt. It’s supposed to be 65’ and breezy here today so I’m not sure how well the quilting will work out on the picnic table. We may have to move inside

Supper will be grilled burgers with corn on the cob .

Good morning :)
Mary, is love to have your temperatures! I think we're already warmer than that right now. Sounds like you're having fun :)
I've been under the weather the last fewdays, I'm hoping today is better. Food doesn't sound appealing at all so I'm not sure what supper will be.
The Christmas swap is posted if anybody wants to check it out :)

Good morning!

Mary - when you posted this morning I was definetly warmer than you! Down right hot, but a cloud cover is rolling in, so we might not get too hot.

Rain and no wind is prayed for with all the fires here. We are tinder dry. There is a huge fire in Daniel's area that is growing by leaps and bounds. He is staying home, watching over the city he lives in, while the rest of his team is headed out to that fire. Daniel can't get time off from work right now, so he is home based.

Dinner - a stir fry of shrimp, zucchini, tomatoes, and corn, topped with fresh basil. I bought a basil plant, haven't killed it yet, tried, but it survives in spite of me!

Hiding in the Batt Cave. A wonderful 72 degrees! Michael is working on his old company's stuff for a few hours.

Tina - good to see ya! Your Christmas swap will go fast!

Enjoy,

Jana

I am excited about the Christmas swap. Can't wait to see what people do.

I am at Mom and Dad's, tonight. Dan is working another double. I stopped at the store and got supplies for dinner, tonight. I liked the avocado salad so much last night, I made it for Mom and Dad and I, tonight. Except, Mom doesn't like lime juice or cilantro. So I used lemon juice and no cilantro. Just added avocadoes, tomatoes, onion, jalapeno, no salt because of heart failure, and pepper. I also made a cucmber salad. I added onion, a little tomato, lots of cucmber, pepper, and greek yogurt for protein. I also got some Georgia peaches and some plums to put on the plates. A nice cold dinner. Dad took a look at what I was doing, and decided to go to bed. It is hard to tell if he was dissapointed or just his norm.

After I get done checking on the June winners of block lottery and checking out the Christmas swap, I will do more on my string blocks. I am doing them assembly line, so when one gets done, they will all be done.

Have a nice evening. It was 88 when I got out of work. It is supposed to be steamy all week. My tomato plants like it.

I made stew meat, mashed potatoes and gravy and Wal-Mart had 10 ears of corn on the cob for $1 so we each had an ear and we have more for a few more nights! :)
Pam, I'm excited for the Christmas swap too :) My favorite salad that I used to eat was at Luby's cafeteria! It had lettuce, tomato wedges and avocados and some kind of something maybe dressing on it? I can't find that recipe anywhere, total sadness. It was delicious!!
