SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, April 8th
Good morning!
We've got rain. And lots of it. With some light winds. But the word around the weather map is sunshine and 67* for tomorrow, and I plan to hold them to that!
Yesterday I finished my bargello! Yay, orange! I posted a picture if you'd like to see it. To take that picture I had to move the furniture out of our small living room, so it seemed a good opportunity to get busy with the vacuum and dust rags. A few hours later I was in the garage, repotting house plants. Then I went to clean up my sewing room and decided to do some major rearranging. By quitting time last night I had quite a mess going in there, so today is to deal with that, do laundry, and clean our downstairs family room, our bedroom, and bathroom. Busy weekend!! I haven''t decided what's next in my sewing path, but something small and EASY!
BECCA - your DD and DSIL sound so nice! And their love for you is so obvious. I'm sure you'll be seeing more of them after retirement!
LINDA - I so enjoyed the tour of your place! It's beautiful!! I'm excited for your man and his cave! Please post more photos as this project progresses. I was wondering a few days ago how your birdie babies were doing and was going to ask, and then you gave us a happy report!
IRISH - praying for your DBIL. And for your sis. I think those of us who have trod your path have experienced those same feelings - the "w-word", talking, to someone who is now living "a floor above us", and then those tears. I'm so glad you have some strong friends in your real world who are there for you. On another note, have you seen the video on FB of the bald eagle who swooped down on a mariner pitcher, landed on his shoulder? It's talons tore his shirt and I suspect the shoulder, too. But he pitched anyway! I thought of you, naturally, because every time I see an eagle you pop into my mind!
JANA - we have a similiar phrase at our house when talking about our trailer, things to fix it up, make it nicer, etc. We have to remind each other = "It's only camping!" lol! when I saw the weather in San Francisco on the news last night, I immediately thought of your family - making the trip and experiencing some of the wettest weather in decades! I hope it didn't 'dampen' their fun too much!
TINA - when you listed all you are doing, I didn't see sewing in there anywhere! I would be thrilled to send you some rain. I'll trade that for some sunshine! I have no idea what a mulberry tree is like. I might steal one from you our next run through NM. Maybe a pine or two, as well . . .
For supper tonite, I am planning to make chicken and rice soup. And probably a salad. It's a good day, weatherwise, for some comfort food.
What's for supper at your house?

I think I may make farfale with sauce and italian sausage. And a salad. I did Ohio star blocks, yesterday. Maybe I will do some friendship stars, today. I woke up with them pictured in my mind.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, April 8th
Good afternoon from a mostly sunny, but very chilly, SW. Pa...Jim has been up early working on that sunshine.....I did see and I hope I'm not dreaming this, but in the 70s by weekend....Of course it will warm up just in time for me to go to Florida but that's OK...
Mary, I did check out the picture of your quilt and there are no words I can find to describe it...I do think you've done it, this is the best, WOW!...I did have something similar on my "list" but I'll just look at your's, mine won't be happening..... I haven't seen that video of the bald eagle and the Mariner, that would really be something and I imagine it did indeed leave some "scratches"....And when you're all done with those dust rags, come east and use them at my house.....
I made the mistake of taking an AdvilPM before I went to bed...Thinking it would help my aching legs and help me sleep but all it did was give me weird (weirder) dreams, foggy noggin and the legs still hurt....So, here it is 1:30 and I'm still trying to clear the cobwebs out of the brain and decided I'd better not leave the house...So will not be taking any more pills....I honestly don't know how anyone can take those things and still be able to function, not for me!
As for my dinner, Mary's soup sounds really, really good so I might have to whip up some sort of soup....I've also been thinking of cinnamon rolls so that might just happen also.....
I'm hoping you all have a great weekend and do something that gives you a smile....
Happy eating.................

Let's try this a third time!
Good afternoon!
Rainy, gray and a bit cold.
Dinner - a corned beef I have been saving.
Matt is on their way home.
Enjoy!

Hi everyone, I'm here again! We now have 6 baby chicks! We put more eggs in theincubator this morning. Frankie is figuring out plans to build a chicken coop.
Mary, I haven't been doing any sewing, no mojo at the moment but one day....
Irish, I've had some crazy dreams too and they seemed so real.
Becca, so glad you've been having family around.
Jana and Chickie, are you blowing away like me? We're supposed to be 90* Thursday but 55 pmh winds yucky!
I'm going to make chicken Alfredo tonight and salad.
Tina
