SUPPER CLUB - Wed, April 4th

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Apr 04, 2018 3:31 am

Good morning!

Still dark here but that isn't deterring the birds from their cheerful chatter. I missed them through the winter. speaking of winter, we are starting a week of rain with some wind tossed in here and there. Given what's going on in the rest of the country, I'll not be complaining - just sayin'. . Someone really ticked Mother Nature off this year!

Yesterday morning I did get the trailer all cleaned and restocked for our next campout - April 15-20. The afternoon was spent in my sewing room and I finished the top half of my bargello. Today I start on the bottom half. So far, so good!

IRISH - I bet your Kathy is excited! Do you have any other Great-grands? Wish I was going pink shopping with you! I have two grown grandsons - haven't sewn a pink bit since Autumn was born 41 years ago.

BECCA - thanks for the offer, but I think I'll stick with my own yard work. But you make yours sounds so nice! When are Denise and Mark getting there?

TINA - that Maria is a keeper for sure! My DDIL is always so helpful in the kitchen, too. Love her to pieces!

CHICKIE - I should be doing yoga, too. If Autumn lived close to me, I might. But I do have some stretches from my chiro and massage therapist that I do sometimes. Helps. I'll be doing some today for sure!

BECKY - have you been blown away with this weather? I saw MO was getting hit pretty hard.

JANA - lucky you - sewing with pink!! you and Irish should have a pink sewing retreat together! And that would leave me green! lol! Hope Michael is feeling better.

Dinner tonite will be homemade pizza. Yum! The larder is getting low, but I have everything I need for pizza. and DH loves it!

What are you loving for tonite?

Good afternoon from a dreary, very windy, yucky sort of day in SW. Pa....Guess it could be worse but it also could be better, right???I think Jim must be too busy with his friends to be thinking about turning on the sunshine....

Mary, I agree about Mother Nature! These past weeks have been unbelievable in this part of the country....AND I for one, will never ever complain about the heat (if we ever get some)....I am excited about my "pink" shopping...We have 3 great grand son's, DS, young Jim's oldest DS has 2 boys and his oldest daughter has 1 so we are ready for some girly stuff....

I finally made up my mind (or the empty cat food shelf made up my mind), I need to go shopping...I also have had the car packed up with stuff for Goodwill or Salvation Army so hopefully, I will get the car unloaded along the way....It is so easy for me to just look out the window and decide I'm not leaving the house but if I want to keep my happy home, I need to get cat food...You know what the mail man says, neither rain, snow, sleet..........well that's me when it comes to cat food.....I had been ordering from Chewy.com but until I get my card, can't do that.....

As for dinner, I'm headed to Mary's...Haven't had pizza for awhile and I'm sure her's would be delish.......

You all have a great day.........

Happy eating...........

Eagle update....
The 2nd egg in the other Pittsburgh nest has hatched so now we just get to enjoy watching them grow...What little miracles these creatures are......

Good morning!

Yes, we are finally getting girls around here - for many years Sarah was the only girl - she has three brothers and then Matt had three boys, Sarah had Stuart and Ethan, before we got a little girl. Now we will have 4 girls when Lila gets here. That makes 6 boys and 4 girls.

Lila-s quilt is giving me fits with how to cut out the fabrics - no strip piecing, good old fashioned one piece at a time! LOL

Michael is doing much better today.

Matt and family are on their way to California to visit Daniel. They will be there early this afternoon. Matt is pulling the trailer and Crenda is following in their minivan. The truck doesn't fit - seatbelt wise all their family. Hence the two vehicles. Still cheaper to pull the rig than the cost of hotels. Matt will park the rig at Daniel's - he has 40 plus acres, so there is plenty of room.

Dinner - humm - making a run to the grocery store - pizza fixings will jump in the basket - Mary's dinner sounded perfect!

Enjoy!

DH is working a double, today, so I am working on some leftovers. Pot roast and butternut squash. It is time to use or ditch the rest of the squash, so I told my floppy eared girls they could finish what I don't eat.

It's a little windy, here, and it can't decide whether or not it wants to snow. It is supposed to snow three times on the daffodills, and they aren't even in flower, yet.

Have a great day.

OK - Sarah is off the mom is mad at you list! LOL I got my head around this block and have 15 of the 30 I need sewn and the other 15 are cut and ready to go. She will have to get here and lay out the quilt on the design wall and make the appliques that go on half the blocks so I can get them done - it is coming together - finally!
