supper club - Tuesday, March 13th
Good morning,
We had 70* yesterday! Whoo Hoo!! So nice! We were in Seattle until about 2pm, visiting Albert. He walked a total of about 400 feet with a rest halfway. He was having a very emotional day. His incision is about 12" long, and looks VERY painful. 5 days post op and he's still on ice chips because his intestines haven't woken up yet. When we got home, we went to the small local cemetery and set my other brother, Jim's, headstone. An emotional day for whole family. While we were there, another gentleman came by, he said to visit his wife who was just buried a few weeks earlier. He was sitting near her grave and our shelties went over to him. Ours was laying at his feet and my sister's little one jumped into his lap and the man was stroking him. Dogs know where comfort is needed and they deliver.
Looks like Al & June will be here for a while longer. The men are going to see Black Panther today and I have a massage so my sis will be here alone for a while. I'm sure she'll revel in that as she is happiest when she's alone.
CHICKIE - congrats on your new baby! So happy he's not a bottle baby! Blazing Saddles! roflol!!! It's like you were here!
BECCA - sorry you have to make second trip to town. But so goes life. your kids live in such a pretty part of our state. My parents spent their 1934 honeymoon camping near where your DGS lives now.
BECKY - I think now we're all going to have to make a cobbler since Chickie has whetted our appetite!
I have dibs and dabs of leftovers in the fridge and I think they'll all go nicely into a chicken alfredo dish for tonite. There's just enough fresh veggies for a salad. And I made a yellow cake with chocolate frosting yesterday so we'll even have something for afters. My mind is racing to suppers ahead of us. My pantry and freezer, all so full a couple of weeks ago, are dwindling. We've been running through the groceries at breakneck speed lately.
What's the story at your house?

Good morning! Wow, Mary! 70s!!! That would be wonderful! We finally had some sun yesterday afternoon late, but the rest of the day was cold and blustery. We had heavy frost this morning, but we may make it to 50s.
That’s so sweet about the shelties and the gentleman needing some love and comfort. They definitely DO know!
I remember the kidney surgery. Mayo would not release until he could be fully on his own. I kept saying, “but we have a 10-hour drive…” And they kept telling me he would be ready and I didn’t have to stop and rest or stay up there in a hotel. They were right… awesome care! I hope your DB is getting all of the same as well!!!
Glad I could provide entertainment with the “Blazing Saddles” reference! I do love ham ‘n beans! I also have a freezer with a BUNCH of gallon bags of blackberries—come and get ‘em!
Becky—so your mind is as bad as mine with the campfire humor! LOL!
Irish—sending hugs and warm thoughts your way!!!
Dinner tonight… what we didn’t have last night. DH had to go collect rent, so everyone piled into my truck and the Hooligans waited while we had Burger King—burgers for DH, salad for me. When we came home, he had cobbler and I had some soup.
Bon appétit!

Good morning!
Mary - puppies indeed have that extra sense and know how to give comfort. When my MIL passed away, a kitty showed up on the doorstep to get and give some love, just for a few days and then was gone off to somewhere else.
Chickie - on my way to gather up some of those hard picked blackberries - I remember all the chiggers to get them!
Dinner here will be my one pot polska broccoli tortellini. Michael has meetings tonight and tomorrow, so dinners will be quick and easy.
El's webinar is on in a few minutes. Sarah has her log cabin blocks done and I haven't even picked out fabric!
I am loving the new arrangement in the Batt Cave. Finished a skinnies Easter wall hanging. Just need some very small black buttons for the rabbit's eyes. I also need to order some more of the wire hangars that hold them, getting ready for some summer skinnies to make.
Well, off to the Cave,
Enjoy,
Jana

Hi ladies,
Just a quickie here, our dinner tonight will be whatever anyone wants, plenty of leftovers, or sandwiches. Has to be fast, parade of bands tonight. Have two of the little darlings performing......
Yes, Chickie, it has been said that I have a warped sense of humor, I blame my dad....LOL....JR would agree with that!
Have a nice day guys.....Becky
