Mary, I like the jacob's ladder best. Though you could try experimenting by adding more colors to both blocks. Or reversing the colors in the jacob's ladder. I think a Card Trick block would be great in this swap, too.

Ok, Jacob's Ladder it is!

Might play with some of my left over pieces and make a multi colored block or two and see how they look!

Thanks for the help!

I had lunch with Mom on Saturday and showed her the pictures of all the blocks. She was quite intrigued. At 99, she is a traditional quilter, but she really liked the blocks in this swap. I hope to get in my sewing room a couple of days this week.

I have been trying out different blocks to hopefully be able to join this swap with. I like this one. Don't have any solid fabric so this sample is done with the closest I have on hand. I am really drawn to the lime/turquoise colors and cobalt/yellow when I look at the Amish pictures. So if this looks OK, I will try to find some time and get some solid fabrics. Absolutely LOVE the flowers!!

Great block Linda. It will really pop with solid colors. I'll add you to the list. Lori

OK Ladies......I like this block better with the edges/squares being black. It looks less traditional and all of the other blocks shown are black around the outside so might blend better. I still need to get to Joann's and get solid fabrics.

What do you think?

I like blueyellow one better. It looks like it's floating. Lori

Linda, I am glad that you have joined. I prefer the blue/yellow. It does look like they are floating.

So far, 6 blocks done.

Sounds like most everyone's blocks are coming along. I'll be headed up north tomorrow for a visit with my sister. I'll still check in, but not as much. If you need something, the best way to reach me is through emai!. Lori
