Praying on Behalf of Others

Have you ever tried to share your faith with an unbelieving friend, coworker, or employer, only to have that person demonstrate disinterest or even downright hostility? Those around you may reject your concern for them and ignore their own need for a Savior. JHowever, if a crisis, comes, those same people will allow you to pray for them. They may even seek you out--asking for your prayers, knowing you have a "hotline" to heaven.

This becomes extremely difficult when we are called to [pray for those who have hurt us. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus instructed His followers to disregard the conventional wisdom of the time regarding enemies and practice love through intercession instead.

The unbelievers in your world should be able to tell by your life that you are a praying person and that they can depend on you to intercede for them with the only One who can truly make a difference.

Izzy Thanks for doing the devotional for us.Its so uplifting.

To witness to others is sometimes difficult but the best witness is your daily life & how others see you live.I found this to be true at School .
We can always pray for others even if they don’t want to listen to the gospel. Becca

Agency is a hard concept. We all have been given that gift, but how we choose to use it is another matter. Each faces trials and how we choose to respond teaches much.

When someone chooses not to listen to truths we have a testimony of, is hard for us to accept, but we must allow their agency to be their choice. All we can do is be a friend, live our life, so our light shines through our eyes and pray that someday they will hear and make wise choices. Our Heavenly Father does that for us, knowing following His plan is so much the better way!
