daily devotion april 7

Psalm 35
The important principle reflected in this passage is not to take it upon yourself to respond but to relinquish it to the Lord. That is why the psalmist appeals to God to contend with those who oppose him. He asks God to rise up against those who pursue him and cause them to be ashamed and dishonored. Let them be caught in their own trap. Often it seems that the LORD is unconcerned; the attacks and the affliction continue until we cry out, " Lord, how long wilt Thou look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages" v 17.

Job 4:6 says, "Is not this thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and the uprightness of thy ways?" Even in the midst of personal attacks, betrayal of friends, and being the object of slanderous gossip, we are to praise the Lord and declare His righteousness.

Hugs prayers and God bless

All things given us in this world is for our experience and growth. Where we place our trust and faith, shows our loving Heavenly Father that we are willing to follow what he has for us in this life. He has laid forth His plan and given us His scriptures to search and learn from. Each time we read those scriptures, a truth that has always been there, is opened to our view.
