SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, March 19th
Good Morning!
We are having a dry and sunny day today!! Yaaaayyy!!! Starting out at 32* but SUPPOSED to top out at 55*. My DGS is coming over this morning to help out with yard work because right now it's mostly raking up the fall leaves. And that is one motion my back just can't take anymore - raking. But I'm fearing that Bill will hijack Drew to help him with HIS project instead and I'll still be stuck wrangling the rake myself. Also, this morning, Drew is meeting my neighbor across the road who owns a landscaping business. (I've walked with his wife every morning for last 10 years). Looks like Drew will be working for him during the spring rush. So there goes my yard man!
TINA - sometimes I look at my ceiling and wonder just how those spaghetti splashes up there. Now I know! Sorry it happened to you, too! Let the thought of two new, and did I mention MATCHING, punch bowls happy you up! lol!
CHICKIE - I'd be oh-so-happy to share some of our rain with you! It's supposed to start up again on Wednesday for as long as the forecast goes. Sigh. I used to use my punch bowls, back when I was of an age to host bridal and baby showers, etc. But now, everyone I know wants wine, beer, or water in a bottle. As for the Kerrygold butter compared to other butters, I really should give it a better test. Others seem to think it's a big deal. I'm not sure it's a big enough deal to warrant the price difference though. I bet little Lint is loving her new home closer to her Mommy. Is she warm enough at night? Maybe she needs a heating pad to lay on like Irish's Jake has. Did you make her a cozy quilt for sleeping?? I have a little bit of black/white cow print I believe . . . .
IRISH - I feel so badly for you as you try to care for Jim and get him to eat nutritious food. Would he eat breakfast cookies? They are supposedly healthy (for cookies, anyway). I'd be glued to those robot competitions, too, if my DGS were competing. But every time you mention them I think of the Big Bang Theory episode where they had robot competitions. The gang named their robot "Monte". Does Nick name his?
BECCA - is your heat pump working OK now? Glad you got out for a walk with your friend. So good for physical and mental health! I try to walk every weekday with my friend, Lori, but we don't do 4 miles! Used to, but not now. I'm glad you were able to find a special home for your rocker. I'm doing the same thing and yesterday I got my DGS to take a set of dishes AND a small folding table! My DDIL is taking one of my sets of Christmas dishes (yes, I have two full sets) And Tina is taking my beautiful punch bowls! Soon I'll have room for more STUFF! lol!
VELDA - do a 10-step for me tonite, would ya? We talked about going dancing a few weeks ago but all the good floors (and good music) are so far away now. An hour's drive isn't so bad at the beginning of the evening, but coming home in the dark not so fun.
JANA - I remember we camped once many years ago in a forest camp up in the hills just east of Logan. We were only 7 miles out of town, but it was like wilderness. Beautiful campground! I love that the family can camp and Matt can zip to work and come back to camp at night. Those bunkhouse models have narrow bunks for kids in the back end of the trailer. Each bunk usually has it's own cubby. We've seen models with from 1 to 4 bunks.
Tonite, I think chicken curry is on the menu. It's usually chicken when we go to these friends in Oly. She doesn't eat beef or pork and I don't eat fish. So we almost always have chicken. Kabobs in the summer and curry in the winter. And the shelties will have kibble! lol!
What's the plan at your house?

Hello everyone, sunny & 55 now.We are to be in 70s next 2 days then cooler again.
Maryz Chicken is a good stand by.When Denise comes next wk I have to put my thinking cap on as she is tired of chicken. But she eats mostly just fresh veggies & fish .
They are very health conscious. She didn't take after her Dad.She doesn't eat sweets either unless I make blackberry pie.
Hello enjoy your Dinner with friends.maryz DH can stay by himself long enough for me to go do errands or take a short hike.I try to not be gone over 2 or 3 hrs at most.I try to go when he is resting & Then I know what he's doing.
Chickie You missed all the fun but Know you will get to spend lots of time with PL.I am sure the Hooligans are excited for a new friend.Enjoy Yasha this wk.Your menu today sounds yummy especially the blackberry pie.
Tina Sorry about your mess but we've all been there done that if we are cooks.I tell my DH there is no mess that cannot be cleaned up.
How exciting for Maria.
Irish Hope DGS won his competition.Feel for you trying to get Jim to eat.
Mine here would live on sweets.
Jana Moving day is close. That sounds neat about the camping setup.
We have baked beans left. Will add steamed cabbage, carrots.Have ice cream & cookies.
Will watch some basketball today.March Madness & we have 3 NC teams playing today.
Enjoy your day. Becca
Our Twins are doing well.Alex put pictures for us.They were both bright eyed & Gabriel has his leg up in air.I was surprised they are doing that well.Tamra is doing well too. Thanks for all your support and prayers.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, March 19th
Good afternoon from chilly, kind of dreary, Sw. Pa..Every once in awhile, Mr. Sun tries to poke his head out but doesn't stay woo long...Hopefully, one of these days, he'll come out, like what he sees and stay a long time......
Mary, Would love to have Drew come visit me..But, I'm thinking my yard is beyond repair, lol....I'm kind of itching to get outside but then my back won't be too happy either.I have a rib that gives me problems if I rake or even vacuum so, somethings aren't fun....But, someone's gotta do it!
I just can't believe how hooked I am on these darn robots, lol...Years ago, when Terry was teaching, he got the robotics started at their HS and Stephan, his oldest DS was on the team..Well, it just took off...Stephan graduated and now Nick is the captain...Their robot is a shocking pink and is called HOTBOTZ...1st they called it the chili pepper but now, renamed it Cookie..The whole team wears shocking pink shirts and at one time, wanted me to make them all pink jump suits, which I pretended I didn't hear, yikes! But, when you see what HS kids, both boys and girls, can do, it's remarkable. As I said, our future generation and I couldn't be more proud of our Nick...Today is the playoffs and right now, "we're having lunch"...I texted Nick earlier and told him I had to pop an extra heart pill, just for him.....
Becca, I just love to hear you talk about your family..And to hear about those babies, what a miracle....I can only imagine that 1st time you get to hold and hug them....Hope your day is a good one....
Well, I have to get back to my robot..By the time today is over, I'll probably be cross eyed...We have the Penguin hockey game on the TV, which I'm listening to, and my robots on the computer...Jim is semi napping in his chair but every once in awhile, I let out a cheer and that wakes him up in a hurry, lol....
Not sure what we'll have for dinner...I did have some pizza last night and there is a little left over but I'm going to try to come up with something better and see if I can tempt Jim's taste buds....Just not sure why he's on this "diet"...Really doesn't even want to eat sweets like he used to.....
You all have a great day....
Happy eating.....................

Good afternoon!
Starting the soup for our dinner. DH is running downstairs and bringing up what i need. After the kids are gone, I will reorder my cabinets and keep a better stock upstairs. That will make Michael hsppy!
Matt's trailer will have the four cubby bunks. It won't be long until the older boys want to sleep outside in the tent. They like to rough it. LOL Me - roughing it is a hotel! I have done plenty of nights in sleeping bags and tents!
Enjoy,
Jana

Here I am again making a late appearance. I was so busy today, blueberry muffins for breakfast, a totally from scratch chocolate cake and the frosting too, made sticky buns so everyone took some for breakfast tomorrow, we had burgers with a table full of sides for lunch and then I made that lemon herb Mediterranean chicken salad for supper. My kitchen is clean and I have my feet up, I'm rather exhausted. All the kids just left. .. now it's quiet
Mary, I'm looking forward to them
Becca, I love tilapia done in the grill
Irish, your robots sound super cool!
I hope you all had a great day!
