We have dryness this morning! And it's supposed to last all morning long! But temps only 35'-43' for the day. Brrr... and the air is still damp. I guess it's still winter, after all.
Yesterday I just fiddle-farted the day away in my sewing room, piecing backs for some of the quilt tops I put together while in Texas. More of that today. Bill and I also went out on a short run of errands - grocery, Home Depot, Auto Parts, and Farm & Feed. Scottie got to go because he gets to go into some of those places and they give him cookies. He knows that those orange aprons at H.D. hold cookies just for him! Every employee he sees he parks his hiney on the floor and paws the air, waiting . . . (that's "Sit" and "High Five")
Today, more of the same in the sewing room, but I'll be adding laundry to the mix, I think. Also, my brother, Albert, is coming to visit. He lives about 70 miles away in the foothills of Mt. Rainier. I haven't seen him since last November, but we talk several times a week, via e-mail. So there will be a nice lunch to fix, too.
IRISH - you in your reindeer jammies and Jim in his beard. I think that's a shot for Facebook, don't you? lol! I'm glad to hear Jake has returned from his 'adventures' whatever they were! We worry, you know. Funny that he won't come into the house. I assume he has received numerous invitations . . . Our financial guy is also a good friend - Warren & Lois's son-in-law. Really a nice, nice guy. He's also a gr gr gr nephew of Billy The Kid. Even has the same last name.
CAROL - love your quilts! And so nice to see a picture of pretty you! I remember when Chriss was fostering their DGD (who is now officially adopted) CASA was involved.
BECCA - so sorry you didn't get any answers to your dental problem. Have you considered a different dentist? I had a problem back in the 90's. The tip of my tongue was burning. I mentioned it to my gyn when she asked me if I had any new things going on. She waved it off, said go to the dentist. This I did, plus two oral surgeons, my GP, and finally gave up. A year later I had a hystie for another problem, and my Burning Tongue Syndrome (turns out it's a real thing!) went away! It was hormonal all along. Not saying you should run out and get a hysterctomy - but simply saying not every doctor knows every thing. Maybe it's time for a second opinion. (plus, I got to tell my burning tongue story! ;o)
JANA - appliances will make an awesome house-warming gift for the kids! The thing about appliances - they all get purchased at one time when a house is new. And they are all designed to last about 8 yrs. so they all go out about the same time. Argghhh! Expensive to replace all at the same time. We should be facing that again in the next year or two ourselves. So tell me, what kind of discount do you get at Lowe's?
CHICKIE - love your cow treating scenario. And since I've gotten to actually be there and take part in all the pushing and shoving and munching and slobbering, I can well picture it! I do love cows! And I bet your baby cow is a darling! and my jammies are Minnie Mouse, too!
Tonight's supper is a good one. We have a friend who is almost completely confined to her recliner waiting for a hip replacement surgery which isn't until June 4th because she only wants a specific doc who had done two other replacement surgeries for her in the past. So I thought we'd take a nice meal over with enough for a second time around later in the week. They insist we stay and eat, too, which hadn't been my plan, but maybe she needs the company more than the food. Anyway, I'm putting swiss steak into the crockpot and making twice baked potatoes, green beans, salad, and garlic bread. They said they are providing wine and dessert. AGain, wasn't part of my original plan that they do anything, but who are we to refuse?? It would be rude, right?
So, tonite - not only new food, but GOOD food! And I KNOW there will be good wine to go with.

I hope your supper makes you happy tonite!
