Tears are a gift from God. They are designed to drain the bitterness from a breaking heart. As far as we know there were no tears before Adam and Eve sinned, but there have been tears ever since. Through the ages broken hearted humans have shed enough tears to fill all the oceans of the world. There will be tears for as long as we live in a sinful world. They will only end when we live in Heaven and God shall wipe them all away.

God takes note of our tears. When Isaiah told King Hezekiah that he was going to die he turned his face to the wall and wept and prayed. Then God sent Isaiah to tell him the HE had heard his prayer and seen his tears.

When we have cause for tears, God knows and cares. He still sees our tears and answers our prayers.

Izzy ,These devotionals are such a blessing & I look forward to them.OUr tears are in a bottle it is told in scriptures.And Our hairs on our Head are numbered.That gives us just a minute glimpse of Gods vast love for us.
I'm so thankful that one day there will be no tears.But God makes a way for us each day & I thank him.Becca

I love your devotionals. Thank You for taking the time to lead us everyday. You are so sweet.

Today's little message really makes me think about the cleansing that our tears do for our heart and soul. I even have tears with happiness and joy. Those too cleanse us. Not all tears are from sadness.

Have a happy day filled with smiles and hopefully mostly tears of joy.
