Supper Club - December 3' 2016
Can not believe that I am setting the table today. Seems odd that Mary isn't here.
For dinner today we will be having a seafood bonanza, shrimp scallops crab legs, and some stuffed something or another. DH requested this, so his wish is my command. Ha.
We leave tomorrow for our long trip to FL by way of S.C. To drop of Luke at DD. So today will be spent trying to get the inside plants taken care (hope they survive). They should if we are only gone for a month. We are hoping to be back home the first week of January. It will all depend on my DB's health.
I will try real hard to get on here each morning. But sometimes life just takes over and plans go by the wayside. Wishing each and everyone a wonderful Christmas. You all are so special to me.

Good morning
Thank you for setting the table
I'll let you and Ken have my share
although I keep telling myself I want to try crab legs or lobster tails one day. .... I'm saving it for my bucket list. ... maybe last spot
hehe I'm chicken. You have safe travels.
We had a storm hit and I'm wearing 2 shirts. ....I don't remember doing this since I was a kid, all my extra padding usually has me running around sweating with one shirt on. We should be back to nice by tomorrow I think. Hopefully we'll have beautiful weather for Mary and Bill.
We're having leftovers today. Taquitos for lunch and leftover chicken noodle soup for supper and tomorrow is tamale making day
Mom is doing better on breathing, bit she's not cooperating on taking medicines and she's being nasty to the nurses. They thought she had something yesterday and was highly contagious so they quarantined her but by the evening they said she was ok. Dad doesn't know what to do anymore and he had car trouble so spent all day yesterday from 8am to almost 10 last night working out in the cold trying to fix it, he didn't want Frankie to go he'll our Kevin. ...I swear I have the 2 most stubborn people on the face of this planet as parents! Ugh.
You all have a fab day
Tina

Re: Supper Club - December 3' 2016
Good afternoon from another cold, dreary, kind of damp, SW. Pa...We did have a light rain over night and there were some of those white things mixed in but not enough to lay, thank goodness...
Carole, with an e, so glad to see you fix the table....Hoping all goes well for your long trip and also hoping and praying for your DB...I would be in shock if Jim ever suggested sea food like that! He's a very basic kind of fish guy but did love the grouper in Florida...I'd have to pass on the lobster but give me shrimp, my favorite...A few years ago, when Jim and I were in Florida, we went to a little out of the way seafood place and ordered the sampler...Well, it came with shrimp, crab cake and other little bits and pieces but it also had crab legs...Well, we looked at each other and had no idea how to open them and had to have the waitress come and help....It was good but we decided, too much trouble getting to the goodies, lol....Safe travels.......
Tina, Had to laugh at the "2 most stubborn people".....We all do get set in our ways and my kids probably think Jim and I are also stubborn, but what the heck! I do feel bad that your Dad is having car problems, so frustrating....Sounds like your Mom is giving them all a run for their money....But, hang in there, it will get better...Hey, Mary is on her way!
Becca, thank goodness things are dying out down there...But, what a terrible, terrible tragedy, not only the loss of life but all the homes and property....So have you settled down from your visit with the little ones? It would take me days, lol...Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well....Maybe you need a "me day"......
This is another, mixed up day...Normally on Sat. I clean from top to bottom but yesterday we cleaned the bottom and that threw me all off, lol....So, threw in some wash, going to red up the rest of the house, and sew....Of course there will be a run to Dan's to take care of the fur babies...Today and tomorrow and then Dan will be back home...He's a picture nut and even got a new thing for the camera to take underwater stuff...Told me, he had a shark bump into the lens, yikes...I think I'll be glad when they're back home....
And for our dinner, turkey pot pie...I had frozen some of our turkey and today, being chilly is a good day to put something in the oven....The zucchini bread turned out extra good so we'll have that for afters............
Hope your day is great.....
Happy eating................

Re: Supper Club - December 3' 2016
Good afternoon! I’ve been to a craft show and bought a wooden handled stiletto/seam ripper combo. It’s really pretty. I saw the man who made them at the local craft show, but he didn’t have a stiletto. He said he would be at another craft show down the road today, so I stopped in on my way to the LQS at Edna. He remembered me and had a pretty combo that wanted to come home with me. The Hooligans are always up for a road trip, so they made the circuit with me. I had a pocketful of treats and rewarded them for each stop and sitting and waiting. We ended with seeing Choc and Maggie before we made it home. Now, I’m back in my sewing room!
Carole—I’m joining you tonight!!! Who-hoo!!! Bonanza it is!!! I sure understand about life taking over and throwing us off track… Be safe with your travels! And, give Luke high fives from the Hooligans. Actually, only Boomer really knows how to do a high five… maybe tail sniffs from the others…
Irish—we are dreary here now, too. It’s drizzling, but not raining… just kind of yucky and perfect for staying in my sewing room and watching the birds at the feeder. Our drive was quite pretty, and this gloom waited until we returned. I love hearing about “redding up”… Grandma always said we were going to red up the kitchen and do the dishes. Thank you for a special memory!
Tina—I like crab cakes, but crab legs are a lot of work, still… YUM! When do Mary and Bill arrive at your place? I was wondering how your mom was doing. My late DH was always nasty to the nurses; it’s a wonder he got any care at all. I had to run interference or they probably would have just kept passing by his room without looking in on him. And, I wouldn’t have blamed them one bit! Your poor dad! They are too stubborn! Your dinner sounds delicious as well. Oh!!! You are going to have me craving tamales again!!! I’m going to have to get out my corn shucks…
Becca—Hope you are all breathing better! Best wishes to you!
Things are going to be easy, peasy here tonight! Re-runs!!! It will be a smorgasbord of chicken and ribs and veggies of various types.
Have a great evening!
Bon appétit!

Hello everyone, sore throat, achy head sinuses. Just a yucky me.Hope your day is better.
Carole Thank you for getting us going.Prayers for safe travels & for your DB that all goes well.my family all loves sea food but me.
Tina I'm sending you a special hug.You must get so frustrated. My MIL give my DH & his sister fits.Hope your day gets better very soon.
Irish Hope your day goes well.Your pot pie sounds good .I am only wanting soup.I just saw that the bodies of the Mother & 2 daughters were found in fire in Gatlinburg. They have been searching for them.Last I read the death toll was 13 .That makes 16.Its hard to imagine the devastation. We still have some burning but they are just burning themselves out. They caught another man here.He said he was bored & his wife left him.Hard to believe people are like that.
There has been no cooking only heating soup.DH made him his bacon.Hope your day is better. Becca
