Supper Club - Friday, December 2

Post by FarmChick » Fri Dec 02, 2016 3:51 am

Good morning! Today I plan to be in my sewing room. Tonight we have a dinner put on by one of the groups that takes care of disabled clients. We used to have several in our rentals, but we have none now. Still, one of our former renters calls and wants us to come to the dinner, so we go for her. The food isn't too good, so I should be able to watch what I eat. Last night... different story. I had a delicious Philly cheese steak sandwich, and I ate the whole thing! Some days are like that.

I can't believe we are in December already! Time's marching, and I need to be sewing...

Bon appétit!

I am back !!! I have gotten both chemo treatments under my belt and am now getting ready to head to my brother in FL to take care of him after his back surgery. Had lots of steroid shots to get me though the chemo infusion, so even though I watched what I ate, still put weight on. HAte it, hate it, hate it.

My son and his family was here for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful!!! His two little girls are so cute and I loved spending time with them.

We are leaving Sunday and heading to our daughters in S.C. To drop off Luke and leaving there Friday to go to my brothers. Long trip, but I have to be in FL on the 10th.

Tonight we are going out to dinner with friends to say goodbye until January. So no cooking for me tonight. BUT tomorrow I understand we can have the banned food without any consequences. YEA! Seafood will be on our table. Shhhh. She isn't checking on us ....is she????? Lol

Will try to check in as we are traveling down the road. Love and hugs to all at this wonderful table.

Good Morning Everyone!
Chickie - Glad you enjoyed the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. My DH really likes them and he is able to get one from a food court at work. They come in small and large. He usually orders the small.

Irish - They are putting me under for the removal of the stent. The Doctor said it was very painful. I hope he isn't planning on giving me a pain killer, because I don't do well with morphine.

Tonight's dinner will be Tuna Noodle Casserole. (Since we have a dispensation it sure is nice to find out what everyone really eats!)

Earlier this week I got a credit/debit card with my name on it from a bank unknown to me. I decided to call them to cancel the card. That was the right decision. The man told me it was a case of identity theft and to go to identitytheft.gov for information. I ended up putting a fraud alert on my credit report on all three boards. (I only had to do it on one and they tell the other two.) I am mentioning this, because I don't know how someone got my information. I am very careful and shred everything that has my name and address on it. Be careful everyone.

Have a great day!
Carol

Good afternoon from a very cold, dreary Sw. Pa...Not loving this weather and I seem to complain every day, don't I???? Oh well, how many days until June??? I'm not even thinking spring, I want it to go right into summer.....

Chickie, how nice of your renter to ask you to dinner, she must think a lot of you, as we all do....If your steak/cheese sandwich is anything like the ones I get from Subway, I can believe you ate the whole thing....I get addicted to them and now have my sister ordering them.....I also can't believe it's December, but maybe someone is just messing with my calendar...Heck I don't even know what day it is half the time.....

Carol (without the e), for me to have anything done like that, they'd have to knock me out, big time...Any time I have to have any tests or procedures, I freak and the doctor laughs and says, you've gone through how many heart caths (the grand daddy of them all and you're afraid of this???But, will sure be hoping and praying for good results and no pain and you won't need those pain killers.....And thanks for the heads up about the credit cards....There are those who will go to all lengths to get your money.....

Carole (with a e)...So nice to see you at the table, was wondering about you.....Glad to hear you had a nice Thanksgiving, always good with little ones.....You have a nice long drive ahead of you, don't you? Does Luke like to travel? I'll bet the kids in S.C. will be excited to see him....Mary did say she will be checking in but needs to wait for Bill to hook her up, so I guess we're safe for a little while...But, she did give her blessing, right? Gee, I might have to check the freezer......Safe trip....

Today is a mixed up day...We do have to go take care of Dan's cats, but need to wait for the mail...The bank is sending papers that need signed and we need to drop them off and then we also need to pick up groceries AND cat food...It's funny, when you're feeding 2 extra cats, how quickly the cat food disappears...And the garbage man probably wondered about the extra bag of litter, lol....
But, this morning, Jim vacuumed the whole downstairs and did part of the dishes...I'm hoping it continues to be a good day....
I'm hoping to get back to sewing, knocked out more blocks and finally have 20 of the 40 done....Gonna take forever.....

Not sure what our dinner will be, could be that tuna/noodle casserole that (e less) Carol is also making...I finally got the zucchini bread mixed up and have 3 loaves baking so we'll at least have afters.........

Happy eating..............

Good afternoon!

Dinner - with a special dispensation, banned food will appear here. Grilled salmon, pilaf, salad and ice cream for afters.

Ethan will be here tonight. Sarah has the first of the Messiah performances this weekend and then two more next weekend.

Ethan has a string of Christmas bells hanging on his bedroom door. He came in to his mom with the bells and told her that they needed to practice. Practice what? Ethan answered when i ring the bells, you are to cook me food and bring it to me. Sarah did all she could to contain her laughter. Ethan was serious. We are still trying to figure out where he came up with this. Such a funny little boy.

Enjoy,
Jana
