SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Oct 29th
Good Morning!
I'm a bit on the groggy side this morning, but apparently not as groggy as yesterday! Glad you all found your way to the table even though I set it in the 'wrong room'! haha! Sorry about that!
I can't chat this morning - we are headed off to the airport soon to fetch my oldest brother, Gene, from Alaska. He is probably busy pacing the airport in Fairbanks right now, waiting to board his flight. He's a pacer, that one. I have to shower, dress, eat breakfast, and get my turkey breast into the crockpot. We have some errands to run on the way to the airport so we'll be leaving before too long. Dinner will be smelling good by the time we get back! My younger sis, Teese, also arrives later today but she and her DH are renting a car so no need to drive back to airport (1 hour each way) for them.
Need to run! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! I know some of you have been through this and worse. Bless you for offering you hugs to me! You're all a treasure!
love, mz

Hello everyone.Sunny here.Bugs yesterday were a big mess.they love the warm sunny days.
Maryz There were more at the Table by moving it to the other room.lol
Your meal sounds delish.Prayers that all arrive safe. And for all the family as you go thru this tog.Glad you have support.
Irish I'm amazed that you can go as much as you do with Jim.DH isn't easy to take somewhere.Plus he critics my driving all the time. Its difficult for him as he walks with cane & pulls his oxygen machine along too.But we must laugh & carry on.
Hope today is a better day for you both.
Chickie think of you & your walks.Sure sorry about your PF.Hope the gizmo helps. It helped my friend.she wore it at nite.Enjoy the feast while it last.
Jana Know your family is in a whirl like always.
Carole May your day be filled with fun & surprises.Dont let the goblins get to you.
We have leftovers here. Will add a salad & plan to make apple fritter bread.Chickies sounds good so looked up recipe. Becca

Good morning
That poor chicken dinner i keep aiming at, keeps dodging me! Tonight!
Ethan goes home in a couple of hours. His parents are on their way now.
It's been like having a newborn sleeping in your room again. Ethan talks in his sleep and when he gets uncovered and cold, he moans. Perry, the cat slept with him the whole week.
Shortly heading to the Cave.
Enjoy!

Today we are going to a Cubbies pizza party, and all I have to take is a salad . My neighbors next door big Cub fans, so I hope they win today.
Laundry day today and by the looks of it I think another couple moved in with us. They make a mess of the house too.
Need to get something together to go to my machine embroidery group on Monday. Have to get back in the groove.
Have a great day.

Good late afternoon from a warm, now, semi sunny, SW. Pa...I think tomorrow is to be nice also.....
Mary, I was worried when I didn't see you..Sure have been thinking about you and the family and sending up lots of prayers.....Getting to your airport sounds like getting to our's in Pittsburgh...I always said, it took Jim longer to get back home after dropping me off, than for me to get to Florida...And speaking of Florida, 2 of my lunch gals left this morning...Just like rats abandoning that sinking ship, off they went....Don't you love to come back in the house when you have something cooking in the crock pot....
Becca, There is no way I could ever leave Jim home alone so, whether he wants to or not, he goes...Most of the time, he's anxious to go, even if it's just for a ride...Jim does have a cane and a walker but does get around pretty well, most of the time (especially if he's trying to get away from me)...Oh and when we drive, he lets me know if anyone is coming but basically, will say, I'm pretty good, lol....
Carole, with an e, I know all about that "other couple" who comes in and messes up the house...I used to blame it on the cats, which I still think they have a huge hand in it...I haven't really been following the baseball games but hope, just for you and your neighbor, hope your team wins....
Jana, now I have this vision of a chicken running through the kitchen with you in hot pursuit...It's been so long since we've had a young one stay, I've forgotten what it's like...That's cute about Perry sleeping with Ethan....
Well, today is a "mixed feeling" day...This is our 62nd anniversary and also, 2 years ago today, we lost Chris...I would think after 2 years, the tears wouldn't come so quickly but they still do and I miss him every day....I still can't believe he's gone...
Terry and his new friend will be here for dinner...She has been cutting blocks for a quilt and just might be bringing it down for me to start sewing...She said, she's taken pictures of each block so I'll know how it goes, lol....
Jim and I just ran to the store to pick up a few things and now he's watching Notre Dame....He, or I should say, we had a very bad night...Last night, he went out the front door and up to the big house and was going to walk in but thank goodness, they weren't home and had the doors locked...Finally I got him back in the house and to bed but about 2:30, we were back up...So, I was pulling a Mary, by being up before the crack of dawn but, I had the laundry done and put away and the whole house cleaned by 8:00....Might be falling asleep in my dinner....
And that dinner will be spaghetti, meatballs, salad and garlic bread...And for afters I made a lemon bar cake that looks pretty darn good......
Happy eating...................

Almost time to set my table. I made home made potato soup today. We will be eating leftovers for a few days. Might have to freeze a container for next week.
Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Vel
