Yup sonya your right they just did the blocks solid which makes less seams. I have seen it that way somewhere but couldnt find it.

What a huge difference from the hodge-podge mess that I had originally. LOL. I am so happy that all my friends gathered around to get me on the right track.

Great Job, Velda!...Now I wish I had gone ahead and pieced the stem...
But I started this over 30 years ago! (Can't you tell those 80's fabrics?)

Funny when you posted this I was just putting my sewing room together after we moved papa and I painted...and was working on finishing it..

Thanks for the motivation...
