daily devotion 7/20

The word FEAR in the bible means LOVE. But when we think of it in our everyday world could you LOVE what you Fear here today? God doesnt want us to be afraid of him or cower from HIM; he wants us to Love Him unconditionally.

I have been watching a show where 6 teenagers from England are living with the Amish to learn about their culture. There are 2 girls who have no idea who God is. One is like a sponge taking it all in wanting to know more about christianity the other an unsure young lady believes her body will just return to earth. She argues on every aspect; the killing of animals for food, the idea of believing in something she cant see. One of the Amish ladies referenced her unbelief to this: Its like not believing in Gravity. You cant see it, its just there.

Its so hard for people to understand religion and how we can believe in a God and the Bible. A lot of people say its a book that should not be taken literally because it was written in a different time. Look back in time its really no different then as it is now: plant food for harvest, raise livestock for food, work different jobs for money, keep a home and raise children, war, famine, and disease. Its all the same; so why can you not take the bible literally??

May you read your bible pray for the understanding of the scriptures and Love your God. We are all different and there are many who are lost in our world. Keep those in your prayer. There are many missionaries and pastors and lay people out there trying to reach the lost. Keep them in your prayers also.

God Bless

Thanks Izzy.

People think that we are more advanced and smarter. You can call it a pride cycle - pride, turn away from the Lord, then fail and bondage, pray for relief, receive blessings and prosper again, then think they did it themselves and start all over again with the pride. We need to remember the Lord always.
